Post mockups for fun/science? (4 Viewers)

There are so many permutations and combinations - and not only does it vary for colour combinations, it also varies from mold to mold.

These should have been the worst - tri-moons on an old mold. I can't find a single split although there are one or two that are close but only if you're really looking.

Make sure you skip to the end where David explains how this has mostly been resolved. The beginning of this particular thread looks bad every time it gets linked. Most people see the first page and don't read any further:

Posts of interest from David there that help:

OH!!! THAT is what y'all mean by split spots??? Thank you very much for posting this! I have Paulson chips with spots that look like that.

I thought you meant that the chip might crack and split between the base clay and the spot clay, and the edge spot could fall out! The reality is not nearly as bad as what I was thinking. I'm totally relieved now, and not even a little bit worried anymore.

So to me, these are the little things that let you know clay chips are hand made. That every one is unique unto itself. I almost look at them as a "feature" rather than a flaw. A few split spots in my set would not bother me in the least. No, I would not want them on a significant percentage like in that post. But even then, I might just live with them. I guess I'd have to be in the situation to know for sure.

Still working on a good $1. Are these dayglo spot colors clashing with the classic colors of the 5?

Got a more refined set for you guys. I really like this $25. How do you guys like the set as a whole? Originally the $100 had the dayglo tiger edge spots but at my game the $100 doesnt see much use so I altered the $25 to improve it. I just realized now the $1 also has dayglo tiger. Maybe I should alter that one too.

Question is, should I put the $ on 1/4?

I say yes. It's 1/4th of a dollar. Otherwise what is it 1/4th of without the currency symbol? Generally I would say you either use the appropriate currency symbol on all the chips, or none of them. So the other option would be to leave it just 1/4 and then change the others to just 1 and just 5.

Let's see both on a mock up.

I'd love to, but those are samples, and I don't have mock up skillz (I went with Kristil for design)
I would hope if you're not sure that she wouldn't mind mocking them up both ways so you can decide. But if you like the 1/4 without a symbol, I really think you should take it off the other denoms too. I actually think that would look pretty cool!

She is always so polite and I ask a lot of her =) hate to ask more

Anyone here have some of the light brown chips IRL? I'd love to see what a stack looks like... Loving this one but nervous to make a brownie my $5 or $20 chip...

I have a regular chocolate frac in a set that looks great. As always, depends on surrounding colors and edge spots though.
