I ended up down $36k that session. Early on in the game, at the insistence of a whale, the host switched the game to half and half — every dealer change switched between NLHE and PLO. I’m not great with high variance games like PLO, where I should really be playing only in position, and with premium hands, and folding third and fourth nuts to aggressive betting.

Most of my winnings were lost when I kept calling with a King high flush on an unpaired board, and middle set. Lost to A-high flush, but he also had top set.
Flopping second nut flush draw and a set and running into nut flush draw and top set heads up is a giant cooler. Almost impossible to get away from that heads up. You played it way better than I would have (and lost minimum), and I play a lot of plo (apparently, not well thou). Haha.

Back to my reality…$1/$1 NLHE…only in for initial buy-in of $100. Ultimately cashed out up $490.

What's with all the bills? Don't they have Hundo chips?

"Give me 3 racks of High Society."

"No." :cautious:
I thought it was cool the first time I played this game, but it is pretty annoying. You'll have guys with $50 in red, and $1000 in hundreds that you got to make an effort to see. I have no idea why this became the status quo, the casino uses $100, $500, and $1k chips all day in the pit.

Down to just 9k heading into the last level, we catch some heat and bag 92k heading into day two tomorrow. Also… a little “souvenir”

Since you were basically already out with only 9k, I think you should take a full sample set away now. Call it some kind of tax. For my commission for this amazing idea, I'll just ask for a 5K chip.
