I acquired my table many years ago from a friend who had it in storage. It was built by another mutual friend in our poker circle from the early 2000s.
Ryan was a contractor/carpenter and this was one of 3 tables that he built. It is a total “Brick Shit House” and weighs a ton. If a tornado was forecast to hit my home, I would crawl under this thing for safety.
The felt was really worn and I eventually replaced it with some speed cloth. As my chipping hobby grew, my desire to do something more custom grew as well.
With the help of @liftapint and @T_Chan, I was able to come up with this great felt that I really love.

I build mine from 3/4 and 1/2 inch plywood. I have a lighted raised rail and it is 5 foot round. I prefer round because we mainly play a cash game with a rotating dealer. It makes dealing easy from any seat. Has suited speed cloth. I bought a big round kitchen table off craigslist and stole the base from it. So then I only needed to build the top.
I could only get 60-inch vinyl for the rails and I didn't want to have a seam so I stretched it and it resulted in the wrinkles you can see that I couldn't get out.
For my first build, I'm happy with it, but I want to make another one as soon as I can.

Here is a table my fiend and I built for a group of Vets that are confined to wheel chairs.
It has a pedestal with a piston that let's you adjust to different chair heights.

There’s plenty of places to set your beer in reach. The raised rail on this table doesn’t allow for cup holders unfortunately.No beer holders?

I am looking at making an oval table with a dealer area, but I cant figure out how to make the small padded rail for the dealer. Does anyone have any advice or plans on how to do that?

I wouldn't call these plans. They are just some basic layouts I made to get a feel for the dimensions. I made much more detailed plans for my oval table if you're interested. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
Depends on your overall construction, but for a simple full felt table with no exposed wood base sheet, the mini padded rail is essentially just an extension of the bottom lip piece. Take the lip cutout, pad the part that exposed then wrap it in vinyl, then just screw it to the underside of the rail.

So the padded dealer rail is not attached to the main table? it is just screwed in place to the main rail?
That's how I've done basic dealer tables. The dealer rail needs to sit nearly flat with the table, otherwise it'll impede their ability to deal properly.

The rail is made of two parts, the lower rail and the upper rail, which are joined together. For a dealer spot, just trim back to upper rail, but leave the lower rail intact. You can pad and cover the lower rail in the dealer spot, or paint it in a color to match the player rail.
The rail can be attached to the table, but doesn't need to be.

So the lower rail is the part that i would cut out and pad and vinyl and then attach it back to the main rail with screws?

You would pad and cover a portion of the lower rail that will sit in front of the dealer.
Then you will cut away part of the upper rail to expose the padded/covered part of the lower rail.
The two rail parts are joined. You can optionally attach the rail to the table, or just let gravity hold it in place.

Not in the slightest....was one of the misprint sales from Tony.
I just wanted to try one before I get a custom felt.
