The Official Poker Table Steam Cleaning Thread - Before and After Pics (4 Viewers)

Which Bissell cleaning solution are you guys using in your machine? There seems to be a bunch of options?

Anything I should look for in a pre-treatment spray? Rug Doctor isn’t available over here.
Lol so believe it or not I use Assos Active Wear cleanser. Dunno the % of elastic in your particular playing surface but if there's any it's extremely gentle on it. The real reason I use it is because I've found it's fantastic at getting stains out of things that other cleaning solutions can not. And I always have some around not to mention I like the way it smells : )
Super pricey though but at least I know you can find it there if you don't already have some.

This is the one I used. Seemed to work well.

Great before and afters. Definitely have to go clean the table where we play now. It’s getting real juicy.

baseball season ends next week, then Game 1 of my new season starts the following week. That next weekend .. all 4 tables are getting the cleaning treatment, and I can't wait

I was looking around at some of the other pictures. am I the only one that takes the rail off when cleaning. Even though they are on tight, you'd be amazed at how much crap was under there. (I couldn't get the SpeakEC rail off, as one of the lag screws holding it on is stripped.)

I don't own a poker table to clean so idk how much input I have here but it certainly makes sense to me that you would take the rail off. Maybe not Everytime but occasionally for sure.

For those using a pre-treat spray.

Rug Doctor or Bissell pre-treatments (or similar) don't seem available over here. Has anyone tried using something like a multi-fabric (carpet and furniture) oxy-action stain remover as a pre-treatment?

I think any fabric/carpet "Spot Remover" / "Stain Remover" would be fine. You might want to remove the rail and test it on a spot that would be covered so to speak, and make sure it doesn't discolor or do anything to the fabric through. I used Resolve, but used the entire bottle on 3 of the 4 tables. Ordered the Rug Doctor stuff and will give each table 1 more pass.

Good idea removing the rail to test.

A quick google just told me that 'Resolve' is the same brand as 'Vanish' over here, so I'll grab some Vanish upholstery and multi-fabric spot cleaner and give it a test.

3rd pass over the MD table. This time I heavily treated the colored part and brushed it right away. The white is actually bright white again, the yellows are nice a vibrant yellow again. And still after the 3rd pass, the water is nasty. Now, in 10 years, this table had never been steam cleared either..
