Things That Are Bullsh*t (18 Viewers)

people getting banned for daring to have a different opinion than TPTB

To sum up: Dipshit doing dumb shit is bullshit.
Speaking of which and whom, how come people who only ever use the forum to earn money do not have to pay for the vendor fee? Me, who just occasionally earns a few bucks by providing a service (technically, I go negative), have to do so.

Do you actually believe that? That could not be farther from the truth. What you think about topic x and what I think about topic x will never ever cause myself or a moderator to warn or ban someone. That's petty and a waste of time for me.

People get warned and/or banned for not following the Community Guidelines. Period.

For example - what about the chippers who have been here long before me and are great people - but all they do is post singles lots every single day/week? I finally asked my locals why is this guy constantly posting and what's going on with those listings? Does he just have a giant drawer that he takes a random 100 singles out a week? There answer was that it’s all pickups of groups of chips online, garage sales, etc.

How are these “chippers” not vendors? Idk, neither do who I asked. We just mark it up to, they’re well like or well known and that’s that.
It's a question I think many people have. What are the specific rules and who do they apply to and why? At the end of the day, the answer is simple.
It’s a privately owned website, subject to no oversight.

This sounds harsh, but you can always start your own. That’s what @Tommy did.
It's someone's personal site, and they decide what happens/what's enforced.

Blocking more than half the site regulars because they are “mean” and then complaining that listing chips here is a waste of time.

It might not be bullshit technically, but it sure is dumb shit

And he wonders why life is hard.

Did it ever occur to you guys that you're just a shit selection of buyers?

Wondering through life with no direction.
(Is bullsh*t?)

On one hand, it's nice to have the freedom. On another, it feels like I'm wasting away. Just turned 40. I guess if I start my midlife crisis now, another 40 years is plenty of time to figure it out.

And yeah, topic X is complete BS. Dumbest thing ever.

The letter X itself is bullshit. Find me 10 words that start with X. They’re all bullshit too.
  1. Xenon - A chemical element, symbol Xe.
  2. Xylophone - A musical instrument with wooden bars.
  3. Xerox - A brand name often used to refer to photocopying.
  4. Xenophobia - Fear or hatred of strangers or foreigners.
  5. Xebec - A small three-masted Mediterranean sailing ship.
  6. Xenolith - A piece of rock trapped in another type of rock.
  7. Xeriscape - A landscaping method that reduces the need for irrigation.
  8. Xylograph - An engraving on wood.
  9. Xenogenesis - The supposed production of offspring markedly different from the parent.
  10. Xenial - Relating to hospitality or relations between host and guest.
Though I agree that the Xebec is bullshit. Stupid Mediterranean pirates.

I’ll piggyback on this and state that going through a mid-life crisis in general is bullshit.

I’m full-blown into mine and I’m not getting anywhere with it.

My midlife crisis was at 38. The point is to find meaning for yourself. If life or society no longer provides clear goals/meaning you have to create goals for yourself and derive satisfaction from meeting them.

Bummer. But now we have hope!

This exactly. Thanks for the reminder. @DirtyTIVA

When I don't have goals in place and something to work towards, everything is bullsh*t. And right now I don't have anything going on. Super lame.

Biggest obstacle right now is just laziness. Lol. It's so easy to just play with chips, play poker, and hang out with my kid.

This reminds me of the story of the guy who comes home every night and tells his wife about the multiple encounters he had that day with a-holes. Day after day he has many encounters with other people, and they are always a-holes. So many a-holes in this guys life, yet he never stops to realize who the common denominator is in all these interactions...

If I read those threads correctly, I think he meant someone personally blocking a large number of users, and was not referring to a site ban.

Is it too early for a midlife crisis? How do you people know you're in a midlife crisis?

I just officially walked away from a 6 figure job that I spent 5 years building/creating. *JUST* a couple months ago finally got my pay to that level after years of working for free or reduced salary.

My last day is September 30th.

No next steps. No expected opportunities. During historically one of the absolute worst environments for capital investment in my sector and hiring freezes/layoffs constantly for the past 4-5 years.

My decision making may need a bit of improvement.......

You people talking seriously about midlife crises in this thread is a steaming pile of bullshit. Get a therapist. Jesus!
Hey now, you go yell at other things! Let the first world people have their first world problems!

Besides, Dr. Wikipedia says most of these peeps likely just dealing with midlife stressors.
