Things that make you Happy (2 Viewers)

My wife had her first professional collaborative art gallery showing last Friday! This is an older piece that wasn't part of the show, but her newer series is similar, with the average being a brighter and a bit larger. (Hard to tell scale of this wall sculpture as is, but it's about 5 square feet)

I love the art... but if she turns it horizontal, adds legs, and calls it a poker table, you and me will have to talk...

Oh man, now THAT would be a meetup not to be missed. Especially for the drinking crowd on here!
Yep! I can stumble home from several breweries and ale houses. One is 100 feet away!

plus mornings on the beach are awesome with kids and pups!

Sharing this here because I was able to do something I have dreamed about since I was about 15 years old and it made me really happy.

A few years ago I traded a ESST set for a new upright piano and I was overjoyed to have a decent instrument around despite parting with a set that I loved. However, it wasn't the grand piano that I always wanted. Last month we bought our new house last month and between some crypto bossing, PLO rungood prior to Vegas, and a fantastic Vegas trip I could afford to splurge on an upgrade to put in the new place and it arrived today! For the record my wife was a music teacher so this was an easy sell.

This semi concert grand is a 40 year old Kawai that has a really unique story attached to it. It was last owned by a church and bought in early 2020 when they bought their first space and opened their doors. The BLM protests occurred just a few months afterward and in Memphis the leader of these protests was also the leader of the aforementioned church.

Sadly for them, fortunately for me, someone vandalized the entire place and the criminals idea of vandalism included dumping a bucket of white paint over the piano and into the soundboard, strings, etc. The piano was sold in that condition to the local store who put in an incredible amount of work and restored the instrument putting in a lot of new components and making repairs to the case. Overall, it has some small signs of wear on the case, but thankfully it's in perfect playing condition and they were even able to retain the original ivory keys.

The extent of the damage in the church was horrific.

You can see the piano in the background here and the white paint on other things.

Those look like Cartamundi cards. Gimme!

Happy Birthday! Many happy returns!
Indeed Cartamundi!
Last remaining deck of several ones my best man had made back in the day (not even a twin deck existing anymore, to make a "set-up").

Don't be sad, man.
This last remaining deck will eventually (soon) be donated to the only remaining coffee house / grocery store / pub /diner of the famous Pesta village.

It will serve a couple dozen of retired people there (they moved up there from the cities to enjoy clean air, silence and proximity to their desired graves).
Population there is now around 40 max, but only 10 of them have lived all of their lives in the village (all of them above 90).

winning 7.5k in my last 3 free rolls to only lose like 1.5k of it back these apps are BS lol
