Open gym run this morning, first time in literally 4ish years.

Courts are my happy place. Now I’m just “thoughts and prayers” for my knees and back so hopefully I can keep this going.

This week…no ice bags. Lol I drove home, walked straight into the bathroom, ice cold bath fully clothed. My kid is bringing a bucket of ice to drop in.

I’m just grateful and happy my body is holding up hopefully and wife gives me the time to get out.

Stay tuned for next week, maybe we’ll up the ante and go cryo chamber

Player who folds a winning hand

Potted in EP with black aces, QJ of diamonds during Friday night's $1/$1 dealers choice PLO/NLHE game. Player to Hero's immediate left min raises, three callers. Hero flats, $40 pot. Flop is disjointed, ten high with two diamonds. Check, check to MP who pots. Folds to Hero who calls. Villain to Hero's left also calls, $160 in the pot.

Turn brings in the third diamond. Check, check, MP jams his last $50. Hero goes all in for $145 on top. Villain to Hero's left is sitting on $190. He tanks for about ten seconds, then turns over his hand showing double suited K,10D/Q,9C. Villain asks Hero if he has the ace high flush. Hero says nothing. About twenty seconds pass. Villain says "I feel like you have the ace of diamonds. You would only bet your stack holding the nuts." He thinks deeply for another twenty seconds, then releases his hand.

River card doesn't pair the board. Hero announces he has a Queen high flush, showing MP his Queen, Jack of diamonds. MP says "That is good." Hero tosses his hand into the muck pile. Villain says to Hero: "You had the Ace of diamonds too, right?"

There is a lot of ledge on the coast of Maine. Shallow soil in conjunction with the ledge prevents the roots of trees from growing deep. High winds will sometimes strain the root system, causing a tree to tilt.

The picture below is what remains of three crab apple trees whose trunks were growing at an angle. Branches extended out at 90 degree angles on two of them. They were the unhealthiest group out of the lot.

Tired of having to mow around them, I recruited my neighbor, an ex-Seabee, to take them down with his electric chainsaw.. He did an amazing job, as evidenced by the picture. Took two 4x8 utility trailer loads of apple wood over to his place with the four wheeler. Had him over for scallops, salad and grilled vegetables.

Tackled the other crab apple trees this weekend, removing the dead limbs with a handsaw. A job long overdue.

This is Little Bastard. I throw out ground seed to keep him out of the birdfeeders.
