Probably depends more on edge spot complexity if you are at the beginning or at the end.

Ah, gotcha! Most of my chips are 3D14 with some solids and a small qty. of 3TA316.

Question for others that have ordered and received CPC chips - what do I need to do with them prior to putting them in action (other than posting pictures )?

Do I just wipe them down with a damp cloth, do I need to oil them, do I need to...?

Or is there a thread for new CPC owners that detail what to do?

Everyone is going to have a different method. However, I would strongly recommend a quick soap/water rinse to get the factory dust off the edges.

As for oiling, you can easily get away with a little drop into a microfiber and doing a barrel-roll wipe for just the edges. The faces are going to be fine. I personally would take the time to do the faces too (without touching the inlay), but it's not totally necessary. (Example of mine right after rinse/oil.)

I personally give each chip some TLC with a microfiber cloth to get all excess dust out of the mold. It’s time consuming but this is your custom set. It’s best to bond with each chip intimately. (That’s what she said)

I wipe down the rolling edges with a light coating of mineral oil. Let sit for a couple hours then wipe it off with a dry cloth. Let them sit out in stacked barrels overnight. Then rack them up the next day.

Put on a podcast. Pour a drink. It helps the process. LOL.

This is the way.... I wouldn't use any soap or water on them personally. Water can 100% get under the inlay. Mineral Oil/Baby Oil really light on a cloth...thats it for me.

Mine were quite dusty. I had to go over them with a soft brush. I take my time, but it's tiring, but worth it.... And a little oil on the edges definitely makes them better. David did a great job with the flowers. They're really stunning.

By the way, do not use any special chemicals. At most, regular mild soap. Otherwise, you will ruin them.

Those Rincon $1s are beautiful! That blue is much different than what ASM was offering back in the mid-2000s until David got a hold of things.

I was thinking of that earlier and suspect it’s a combination of hazmat being transitioned out coupled with a desire for bright/colorful chips.

While pop is lovely, and I would love some bright yellows, orange, fuchsia… That blue/gray, the mustard yellow, and some of the older historic colors are just lovely.

Those Silver Nugget color combos are classic gorgeousness as well.
