Would be safe to say that this is now the official joke thread, the place to share some really funny crap? Call it a spin off from the WTF Derail with less WTF and more haha.

Thinking of having this stencil added to my topper.

Bro I had to watch that again. How are the judge and other lawyer not cracking up???
I thought the same thing, how is everyone on camera not losing their shit? I watched it minimum 5 times and it got funnier every time.

I’m sure they’ve seen this, and I NEVER send anyone anything, but I just sent this to some folks.

Idk that I’ve seen something this funny in awhile. Now just imagine you’re on trial for murder and this is the dude repping you

Now the YouTube comments are killing me. "That's exactly what a cat would say..."
Oh jeez I’m so happy right now. This shit is hilarious.

Listen. We all know the only law cats know is bird law

I wonder if you could use that as grounds for an appeal.
"I feel I got poor representation. My lawyer was a cat."
Or, you know, "My lawyer was too incompetent to make a Zoom call", if you want to be boring about it.

Dude's gonna get 9 life sentences.

edit: folks are talking about how it’s so much better because this dude sounds like a muppet, and that’s spot on

Two best YouTube comments:
“That’s exactly what a cat would say.”
“They were all cats. One just forgot to set a human filter on himself.”

Looks like he might sell his chips after all, everyone. Good for Toots. Now he can go away.

Dibs should mean that you will buy the chips at the stated price. Nothing more annoying than someone posting dibs and then pming you with a lower offer. I dont budge in those situations. If you said dibs you are paying the asking price or you are not getting them. I feel that it isn't fair to the other buyers who may have wanted them at a lower price but not the price listed.

That being said, I dont see a problem with the dibs system. It has worked for years and for the most part still does. I also don't have a problem with other types of sales, but if the sale is something different then a first come first served situation, it should be posted in the op.

Going back on a deal is scummy and offering more money to the seller once a deal is made is scummy too, especially in a place that is supposed to be a community. Thats my take on it atleast.
I had nothing to do with the sale in question, but I have a question for you sir. What about if a few or MOST if not all of the chips have “dibs if split” post made and no clear splits terms in OP?

Is it “scummy” to come into PM and offer more or post “DIBS” on all of it? Having heard some things (again was not me) and not read this entire thread (past your post) Id really like to hear more opinions on “dibs if split” and then PMs sent and Dibs “on al” posts that come later in the day. I’m having a sneaky feeling that may have came into play in the case aforementioned by the OP here TUNA anyways.

I think of it this way. Whether it is or isn’t as a matter of contract law, I treat the seller’s terms as an offer. If a buyer accepts on the seller’s terms before me, I won’t interfere. If the buyer tries to impose new terms (“if split” for example), there’s currently no deal, and I’m free to try to buy the chips.

With that in mind, we could all be more careful about how we phrase a sale as. Offering two racks for $400 sounds like you’re selling the racks together. Offering the same two racks for $200 each sounds like you’re selling them by the individual rack. This type of ambiguity is part of what caused the first dibs drama over the weekend. .

In the first instance, if two buyers offers dibs on a rack each “if split,” I don’t think there’s anything wrong with trying to buy both. Buyer has imposed a new term (split the lot), and the Seller hasn’t agreed to that.

In the second instance, if two buyers each say they’ll take a rack, to me there are two deals made. The Seller offered two lots of one rack, and two Buyers agreed to buy one lot each. Further, if the Seller then clarified that she meant it to be all one lot (I don’t want to split), I think the fair thing is to afford the first person who offered to buy one rack the chance to buy them both. That’s what I’d do as the seller anyway.

Of course, all of this presupposes that the buyers aren’t trying to negotiate better deals and follow through in short order to complete the transaction. If they don’t, then as a seller I’d go to the next person who expressed an interest (the point of being “backup” I suppose).

Sellers should follow through too, of course. And, for me, part of that is sticking by the terms at which you’ve offered to sell. Part of that requires doing your research on how much something is worth before you put it up for sale.

My two cents.

Maybe a sticky thread copy paste general sales intro would help
