That Chicago concert was outstanding! I think my favorite part was the last 30 minutes, starting with "Beginnings" at about 1:02:00. Those songs were all a huge part of my high school years. My best friend and I were ginormous Chicago fans, and we had these two other friends - probably the two smartest guys (top students) in the school. They both played in the school band and only liked jazz, classical and big band music. We used Chicago and that awesome horn section to try to win them over to rock music. They were very stubborn. Maybe they weren't so smart after all.

Good ole YouTube - right after the Chicago concert this came up! Smokin'!

Oh yeah! I have everything of his that's available on Amazon Unlimited. I first ran across his compilation CD "Don't Say That I Ain't Your Man" over 20 years ago. I think his version of Howlin' Wolf's Killing Floor is probably my favorite track.

Did you watch any the Larkin Poe videos that I posted? These young ladies have a great respect for their forefathers in Blues. And they're pretty skilled musicians as well. The one that plays the slide lap steel has got some serious chops. The other one is a multi instrumentalist and has an incredible voice.

Another very talented young Blues artist is a kid (I think he just turned 21) from Mississippi who goes by Kingfish. Here's a clip if you haven't heard him yet. The future of blues is alive as long as young artists like this one, and the ladies from Larkin Poe keep coming along. Kingfish's debut album was also nominated for a Grammy in 2019 and is a fine recording beginning to end.

Christone Ingram, definitely one of the great "up and coming" blues guitarists
