Was just about to guess both 7-card stud and 5-card draw as the games played. Hold'em was basically unheard of back then.5 stud, 5 stud w/ sixth card optional, 7 stud, 5 draw. Real poker. No fancy games in those days!

If you ever miss the big win by one number, I’ll gladly relieve you of the torment of the $5000.I’d almost rather not have the $5,000 if it meant getting that close.
Yeah, and it was the hole card camera that really lit the fire (plus an amateur winning the world championship). Being able to really see everything as a spectator and follow the action generated huge interest.Yeah -- I never heard of any real people playing hold'em until 2000 or so. All you came across was the odd Sunday newspaper color section article about Doyle and his cohorts in Vegas, and their history playing hold'em in TX. The WSOPs in 2004 and 2005 changed everything...
About $2,000 back in the day when a few of us casino dealers made a trip 2 hours north to a casino that we could play at.
Started at 1/2 NL, proceeded to flop quads on a 6 4 4 board, and had two guys shove in front of me.
Carried that stack over to a $5/$10 limit game that a bunch of us dealers started where I proceeded to clean house until the joint shut down at 3 a.m.
Bought everyone breakfast as a celebration!

I only play tourneys and have really never won much. My best run was back in 2009 at the Twin Cities Poker Tournament. 1st prize was a free seat into the 2009 WSOP Event #24 a $1500 N/L buy-in tournament, 2nd prize was a set of steak knives. I got heads up with this guy who was on a heater. We battled for over 2 hours before I tried making a move on this guy that called himself Nooker. Of course Nooker had the nuts when Hot Nuts went all-in. Nooker went on to finish Event #24, in 1495 place out of 2605 players too (just missing cashing by 1205).

I forgot about my craps win... 300 into 1300 one night at Circus Circus in LV.Cash.25/.50 NLH - about +$960 at cash out, was up around $1200 during one particular day at the MTTD two years ago.
Cash 1/1 - about $1100, was in for about 260, cashed out for $1440.
Tournament- last year’s MTTD - 1st place in tourney and last longer. I think was around $700.
Nobody wanted to host a home game? Where can you play in Saskatoon?
I don't remember the dollar amount, but it was a very good night at the craps table in Vegas.
I figured that I would piss the money away and forget all about the win, so I needed to buy something with the money before heading home.
I got an Armani suit.

I had a similar night in Vegas, hit a large bonus on a circus table. Got ringside seats to Mayweather & Mosley.I got an Armani suit.
I'll have to defer to @Mrs Poker Zombie for some pics. I don't have any wedding pics on my computer. I know I've worn it many other times, but I passed on a tux for our wedding, because the Armani fit, and feels better than any rented tux.Let’s see some pics!
