What's the Most Money You Ever Won in a Single Night? (2 Viewers)

Was just about to guess both 7-card stud and 5-card draw as the games played. Hold'em was basically unheard of back then.

Yeah -- I never heard of any real people playing hold'em until 2000 or so. All you came across was the odd Sunday newspaper color section article about Doyle and his cohorts in Vegas, and their history playing hold'em in TX. The WSOPs in 2004 and 2005 changed everything...

Yeah, and it was the hole card camera that really lit the fire (plus an amateur winning the world championship). Being able to really see everything as a spectator and follow the action generated huge interest.

I never win anything, honestly Mr. Tax Man, not a penny. :whistling:

I only play tourneys and have really never won much. My best run was back in 2009 at the Twin Cities Poker Tournament. 1st prize was a free seat into the 2009 WSOP Event #24 a $1500 N/L buy-in tournament, 2nd prize was a set of steak knives. I got heads up with this guy who was on a heater. We battled for over 2 hours before I tried making a move on this guy that called himself Nooker. Of course Nooker had the nuts when Hot Nuts went all-in. Nooker went on to finish Event #24, in 1495 place out of 2605 players too (just missing cashing by 1205).

I won about $2,400 in a chop at a tournament at Binion's on my 21st birthday trip. I ended up with the t-shirt they gave to the winner as a condition of the chop.

Cash on the other hand.. I made about $600 at SQM.

About $2,000 back in the day when a few of us casino dealers made a trip 2 hours north to a casino that we could play at.

Started at 1/2 NL, proceeded to flop quads on a 6 4 4 board, and had two guys shove in front of me.

Carried that stack over to a $5/$10 limit game that a bunch of us dealers started where I proceeded to clean house until the joint shut down at 3 a.m.

Bought everyone breakfast as a celebration!

To quote one of America’s greatest philosophers:

“And you know what else is too funny?
Their silly Monopoly money
Can’t take ‘em seriously at all.”

Cash.25/.50 NLH - about +$960 at cash out, was up around $1200 during one particular day at the MTTD two years ago.
Cash 1/1 - about $1100, was in for about 260, cashed out for $1440.
Tournament- last year’s MTTD - 1st place in tourney and last longer. I think was around $700.

You win all the points in this thread, well done!

Nobody wanted to host a home game? Where can you play in Saskatoon?

I forgot about my craps win... 300 into 1300 one night at Circus Circus in LV.

Home games happened all the time, but sometimes we wanted to hit the road, have dinner together, and then hit the felt. We can play at Dakota Dunes casino since it's part of Sask Indian Gaming, but I worked for Sask Liquor & Gaming.

I don't remember the dollar amount, but it was a very good night at the craps table in Vegas.

I figured that I would piss the money away and forget all about the win, so I needed to buy something with the money before heading home.

I got an Armani suit.

Let’s see some pics!

$3,000ish at the Bellagio, my first time ever on a casino poker table. I'll never forget the hand that led me to it or the guy I played against. Wearing a Gucci jacket flipping his Ferrari key around in his hand the whole time making sure the table knew what he was driving (probably a Vegas rental).

Hand that led to the biggest chunk, A/4. Board was 4/6/Q/A/A Dbag was action pre-flop but check raised me both on the turn and the river with me three-betting followed by both us being all in. He tossed his pocket 4's in front of me as opposed to middle of table boasting, "I have the boat man, your Ace is no good here" and started reaching for the pot, to which I promptly replied, "my boat is bigger than yours, no pun intended" ;) and flipped over the goodies. Dbag at this point absolutely livid, punches the cushion on the table yellilng, "you f$%ing kidding me, how you gonna chase with that crap in your hands????" I LOVE IT!

At the BBotB last year I ran my first buy-in of $125 (.25/.50 circus games) well over $2k, but donked about half of it back in Flips to various people (lets be honest, mostly @MatB) at the end of the night.

It wasn’t just a single night but years ago staying at the Stratosphere I came out of there +$900 primarily playing Pai Gow and Craps.

Also, the flight was free due my miles and Dad had paid for the hotel for all of us (my brother came out too).

Thus it was the most profitable visit out there I’ve ever had.

Unfortunately most other Vegas trips have been in the negative end of the spectrum.

One other monster win... August 2010. Placed $500 in football futures bets for the Packers to win the Super Bowl, NFC championships, and a couple others. Winning the smaller bets, we just mailed in the tickets to the Venetian, and they mailed back our money.

When they hoisted the Lombardi, we jumped on a plane, and flew to Vegas to cash the ticket. I only trust the USPS so much...

First time playing craps in Vegas I hit the 250-1 fire bet (5 separate points) as well as plenty of points along the way. Was pretty close to hitting the 1000-1...just needed the 6 left, and the point was on 6. The crowd was going crazy for young Frogzilla. I turned $200 into $5000ish and don’t think I’ve topped that since.

Bought two of the biggest watches I could find, which I do not wear because they look dumb and are uncomfortable.

$200 -> $1,000 -> $4,435-ish: 2018 WSOP $1,000 Senior's
18 hours + 2 hands
Took 55 against T9. Villian flopped a gutshot, I turned a set of 5's, he rivered the guttie.
Won the entry in a private $200 entry touney.
