Barrington poker table thread (7 Viewers)

It looks like your cupholders came out very clean vs some I've seen did you just use a heat gun on the inside of the cupholders also?
Used a hair dryer and the trim remove tool. I heated the cups until I was able to pry them loose with the tool. Then I let them cool before I removed them. This way the glue doesn’t string all over the table.

walmart barrington is 179
walmart barrington led is 199
costco barrington led is 229

looking for a second table, which is the one to get? leaning towards the cheapest one and using money saved to upgrade the cupholders. are the LED's a much added benefit to game play? feel like i'd tilt myself looking directly into the light.. or is the weight of the table better?

I got the Walmart barrington and love it for the price. My thought process was for ~$20 extra bucks, whynot have the LED’s as an option. I will say I’ve been trying to find an rgb cob light replacement for them ever since and can’t seem to figure it all out, which has been a bummer. I don’t know if I would have regretted getting the lesser for such little money saved, but I didn’t want to regret it.

Well.

Pleasantly surprised these are in the UK. Was in the market for a table, and got one of the led ones delivered. Don’t think there’s any other choice of table.

So much better than most of the crud on eBay, even allowing for the aspects with room for improvement -

Cup holders (why put in such narrow and shallow ones at all?)
LED brightness/wire
slightly different heights of playing surface at the fold.

Thanks to this thread if I choose too I can address most of the above, easily and cheaply.

Now to get a custom cloth…
i saw the different height on the surface at the fold in someone elses picture. can you share a picture? wonder why it is that way for the costco one, the walmart barringtons are good at the fold. debating the costco one but this may tilt me

I don't know exactly what you mean but the bottom of the table has wires that can be adjusted to change the height of the table and how it sits. My table doesn't have an discernible height difference at the middle, but I also use a topper to lay over it anyways.

it looks really raised at the fold here in this picture and someone else said different heights of playing at the fold. true i guess a custom topper over it would be fine? just if you use the costco hold em it looks like a considerable height difference where dealing across may hit a snag? don't have that level of difference with the walmart barrington from my experience so was just curious peoples experience with the costco one thus far

What’s up guys! I’m looking into buying the brown barrington table on sale from Walmart to use as a dining room table top. Has anyone had experience taking off the legs and using it for this purpose?

I’m interested in this as well. This is my plan with the Costco one.

I think the rail would sit a little too high on top of the table and be annoying.
Over a kitchen table I could see that being an issue.

I plan on putting it over a table that is 32” x 64”, so the table should nest inside the table top pretty well.

You’ll still have a center support that is almost the height of the edges:

I guess you could put some small blocks under the table at each end so the table stays level, but the final height of the playing surface will still be a couple inches higher than the dining table. If that’s ok, it could work.

The other thing you’ll need to think about is that since so little of the Barrington table will be touching the dining table, it may slide around very easily…and be trouble when someone leans in to scoop a pot or bumps it when getting up.

Hmmm … interesting.

Technically my tables are 32x32 and I was going to join two for the 64x32 I mentioned. Perhaps I can keep them separate and nest them individually.

Hmm super helpful to see the underside of the table, glad you have pictures. It looks like this probably won’t fit right on my table

This is the best I’ve got. If you look back a couple of posts at the photo from underneath, on my table too much material has been removed in the recess on one side where the hinge is. I’m going to remove it and put in a spacer to level it all up.

This looks really minor but a 1-2mm difference in height if you’re sliding a card at it is really noticeable!

Costco has the LED version for $229 right now (with the blackjack layout?). Seems like a pretty solid deal, especially with a few upgrades

Any particular brand of cupholders people use for the upgrade? Or specific store/website?
