I love the artwork on standard index, which is a lot smaller on jumbo index. However, on a large table, it's just so much easier to see the jumbo.

I prefer standard index by a mile. But the reality is that jumbo is just so much easier to play with on a full size table.
I could understand in a casino setting maybe just to save any possible confusion or to cater to people who may have vision problems but its never been an issue for a home game setting in my experience.

Lucky you. If I could get away with using standard index, I'd do it in a heartbeat. And I probably could. But in a self-dealt home game, where the community cards are sometimes being dealt at the end of the table, if the lighting isn't great or the players' eyesight isn't the greatest, it's just easier to use jumbo.
I've actually always used standard index. Only when I started looking into plastic cards and tried the bullets out a few months ago did I go Jumbo (I think that's all they make). People at my game were all like "finally I can see the cards!" No more half-getting-up-leaning-over-my-table-with-your-giant-beer-gut-and-squinting ... So, I guess jumbo it is for me going forward.
Of course, once I get my 10-seat decagon table from Chanman, I might have to go Card Shark size:
I've only had hands-on experience with Copaq, KEM arrows, and DaVinci. Of the three, in order of preference:
1. KEMs have best overall feel and shuffle-ability (is that a word), but are 2x the cost of the others.
2. Copag's are slightly stiffer than KEMs, but still feel and shuffle well. At half the cost of KEMs they are my go-to "every day" deck.
3. DaVinci are slightly stiffer than Copags and have the most "plasticy" feel of the three, though they are probably the most durable, and I actually like the design of the pips and face cards better than the other two. Same price as Copags.
That said, with all the praise for Desjgn in this thread I will definitely check them out.

why jumbo index? Because getting older sucks and your eyesight starts to go, 10 man table jumbo makes life so much easier

Not only am I with the others on Jumbo, but I am a 4 color convert. At a full size table self dealt game you are often going to have several players at twice the distance to the cards as they would be at a casino dealt game. Add in poor lighting conditions and it’s not just a matter of age, but even the youngins at our game have a problem reading standard index across the table.
The best for our game is Kem bridge jumbo largely because we have some extreme card bending players that tend to crease the cards and the Kem are the best protectant against that. But I am loving the Desjgn 4 color bridge jumbo which we just started playing with.

Personally, I don't like KEM cards based on my limited experience using them. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the ones used at my local casino tournaments are all warped, but I just don't like the feel of them, truth be told.
I just put an order in for a set of Modiano Platinums, so am looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is about.
As it stands, I think Fournier Titaniums are the my favourites, by quite a long way. They look, feel and shuffle beautifully... At a price that doesn't break the bank, too.

I was mainly speaking from an aesthetic perspective but you guys have convinced me that I need to buy some jumbos now. Not that it took much convincing since I’ve been on a card buying binge lately lol.
I was really not into Desjgn before I joined this forum and after receiving my first pack yesterday, I am officially converted. Real good feel, easy to shuffle, and no plastic smell. The pip design is a refreshing change from traditional styles while not looking like novelty cards.

Copag are good for the money as they still feel pretty nice but definitely fade faster than other cards I’ve used. The floating top cards also bothers me more on these than others.
I have two set from Kem and to be honest I love these cards. The feel is just about perfect with a slight texture and the back design on the arrows is very nice. My new deck hasn’t seen much abuse but are running strong. My older deck (late 90’s maybe) have a slight bow but nothing unusable. If there wasn’t an issue with warping, I don’t think the feel of Kems is really beat. Beautiful ace of spades too.

Sure I've gotten old. I've had 2 bypass surgeries, a hip replacement, new knees, and fought prostate cancer and diabetes. I'm half blind, can't hear anything quieter than a jet engine, take 40 different medications that make me dizzy, winded, and subject to blackouts. I have bouts with dementia, poor circulation, hardly feel my hands and feet anymore, can't remember if I'm 85 or 92, but... THANK GOD, I STILL HAVE MY FLORIDA DRIVER'S LICENSE.

Because we’re getting old, and the eyesight of the players in our games is fading.
That, and if I have more than 6 players in my game on a particular night, we play on the 8 ft long pool table with a topper. If the player on the one end of the table is dealing and doesn't want to reach and put out the community cards in the middle of the topper, the poor sap sitting on the other end of the table doesn't have a chance of seeing any standard index card faces.

There’s always super jumbo index then low vision index to look forward to...
I think Copag makes them in plastic. But they call them magnum index.

It’s good to see that our visually impaired friends will be able to participate. OTOH, that has got to be one of the most aesthetically horrendous things I’ve seen in my life. Is any playing card uglier?

Well, these would be useful for all those oversize poker tables when you've got 16 players trying to read a flop from the ends.

Ordered these on Saturday, pleasantly surprised when they turned up today.
All I can say is: wow, just wow!
Essentially a slightly grainier, grippier Fournier Titanium. Performance wise, they feel perfect and shuffle beautifully.
Aesthetically, they have super bold, defined colours — not to mention a beautiful back design and wonderfully rounded corners. The Ace of Spades is a killer, too.
Pure Italian class,elegance and performance, simply put.

Being as objective as possible, I actually found the Modiano Acetate cards really slick when I first broke them out. They shuffled a little better and pitched better as the session wore on, but the first couple of orbits sliding and misdealing were very common. Compared to, say, the latest desjgn cards and the Dal Negro Virgolone cards that have very grainy and rough texture, the stock on these cards were as smooth as a baby's bottom.
