Cards Mold/"Tina" Alibaba Ceramics Master Consolidated Info Thread (9 Viewers)

what is the recommended way to clean and care for these chips? can you fix warping etc?
I don't think there is much you can do to fix any chips, they are basically plastic chips with dye-sublimation printing on them. In my experience they are pretty robust though so they don't need much care.

I've not had any problems with odors. If they really get dirty from use you should be able to wipe them down with a wet cloth with light soap and water. You don't want to oil them as they are plastic, not clay.

Are these really made from plastic? We call them ceramics, so I always assumed that's how they were made. And ceramic is definitely not plastic. Anyone ever break one open?

Ceramic chips are definitely made out of injection-molded plastic. I myself haven't seen anything that would nail down the specific type of plastic, but @BGinGA thinks they're nylon. They're called ceramic because they kinda sorta look and feel and sound like they might be made out of ceramic, but they're not.

... although there actually are some chips made out of ceramic - this porcelain Tiffany travel poker set, currently available for 3,100 Euros.

Just talked to Tina. They offered to either refund the cost of the $100 chips or send me the correct T100 chips later.
I opted to wait for the replacement T100 chips though I'm going to have to wait until Tina gets another order from the UK to tack this onto. I can use the $100 chips for now so I don't mind waiting a bit. I don't have to return the $100 chips

Edit: Maybe I should just buy another round of chips from them
Thinking about buying a small set of these. Any other UK Chippers on board?

If you do decide to get some would you be able to receive my replacement chips too and forward them on? Tina will pay for all the postage.
I might be up for a cash set....

Replacement chips? Tina pay for postage, what do you mean?

But yeh, we can do that. Maybe see if we can get a couple more on board first to get our best bang for buck, then start a group buy?

I’m quite new to all this tbh and not sure how to start up a GB. I’ve had a couple of people say I’m welcome to borrow their designs though which is cool. I’m looking at about 400 chip cash set with 10c/20c blinds.

What you thinking?

Cheers

Check my previous posts in this thread. I was sent the wrong chips, so Tina is going to send the correct chips along with someone else's order in the UK to save on postage then get them to forward it on to me.

I'd be up for a UK GB from Tina

Ahhh that sounds decent then, save a couple of quid on postage too.

Did you customise your last order yourself?

Let’s get it sorted then. Is it 2000 chips ordered we need for the best deal?

Im up for that.

Any other takers from the UK fancy jumping on board?

Looks like it might be 1000 minimum to get the cheaper chips.

I’m swaying towards the aria 5/25/1/5. Probably about 400/500

For what its worth, last week I ordered 1,100 chips directly from Tina. DHL / air shipping to Tennessee. Pricing was 28c / chip ($308) plus $188 (DHL) = $496 - equating to 45.1c / chip.

@mattross1313 did some fantastic work for our buy... If anyone is looking for help with a design, get in touch with him!!! He made things simple and came up with some great ideas for us...!

Pictures to follow as soon as these get delivered...!!

Was getting ready to pull the trigger with Tina on this Card Mold set but now she is saying there is a new mold coming out next month? Now I am tempted to wait....::wow:

Is someone here working with her on this??? We need more INFORMATION!!!

Is copying another mark (the hat and cane), in addition to colors, design, casino name(s), and other features increasing the security risks for Paulson and thus increasing the likelihood of some sort of cease & desist/shutdown/action for infringement?

Chip printers in China aren't going to respond to a C&D from a US company.

GPI would undoubtedly do their best to pursue legal remedies against anyone in a reachable jurisdiction who was involved in manufacturing, distributing, or marketing the top-hat-and-cane chips because they unquestionably infringe on their trademark (and copyright, but that's a much smaller concern to them).

I doubt the casinos will try to take action over the duplication of their colors and designs even assuming anyone ever brought it to their attention, but honestly who knows? The casinos would never mistakenly cash the ceramics, so it's not a significant financial risk to them, but they might not feel so cavalier about it as I do on their behalf.

I’m fine with the cut card molds. They already stole my knife designs and logo but nothing we can do about it. I like the idea of getting ‘inspired’ designs but not clones.
