For comparison here are some other black purple combinations. I never had any complaints about the Milano or Paulson home chips so I do not see why these would be a problem.

trying to figure out if i want to use brown or blue for nickels
trying to figure out....help me make up my mind!
I like blue
I'd go with brown
I like the yellow for nickels
But might throw in the purple for consideration.
Congratulations...I was able to hold off for 5 months, but this morning I broke and ordered 800 blanks for a 2-table tournament set. I will avoid the whole dark purple looks better / light purple won't be lost in the black stacks issue by simply ripping a page out of the WSOP playbook and using Blue for the T500s.
Now, time to work on label designs...

"one of us....one of us...."
2) I have noticed some color variances in the surfaces of the chips pictured. I'm hoping it's because of chip dust rather than a non-uniform clay mixture.
Maybe. Nobody complained about uniforminty in the CPS chips so I would imagine that it won't be the issue with these. Still, I can't help but worry a little when you study the edges around the crowns....
Ok, looking at the crowns, I think what we're seeing is the strongly directional lighting in the white box causing highlights where the surface isn't flat.
I think you're giving the factory too much credit. I doubt any off camera lights, let alone soft boxes, was used for that image. Looks like it was taken with a point-and-shoot camera on a white desk. Heck... It may even be a flatbed scan.
If you're just staring at the chips instead of playing with them then it might bother you.
Do you ever wish you could un-post something?
