Controversial Chip & Poker Opinions (7 Viewers)

To better connect with buyers it would be helpful somehow to filter the ads in a more standard fashion.

For example, buyers looking for Tiger Palace chips, needs to search the Sale Ads "Tiger", "Tiger Palace", "TP", etc.
If we could use a pre-selected choice for some of the popular searches (like Tiger Palace, Big Top Poker, etc) , that would be helpful. The down side, is those choices to select must be updated and maintained by someone...Maybe this feature is there and I don't know it or know where to look for it, or sellers don't use it...

That can be done via an advanced search. Pre-selected search terms, as you note, would require maintenance and updating and just seems like a solution in search of a problem. IMO if someone is too lazy and/or incapable of finding TP chips unless they have "Tiger" as a pre-filled entry in a drop-down box, they don't deserve to own any chips anyway. Basically they want someone else doing basic data input/search terms for them. Hard pass.

Wanted and Trade ads were nearly useless before, but now that they are removed from the general Classifieds, they are completely useless. If the problem is too much spam, then limit the bumps to weekly vs. daily.

Make the Classifieds Great Again! (add auctions back too while we're at it :ninja:)
I didn’t either, but good riddance.

The worst part about “wanted” ads is when somebody post chips for sale, agrees to sell them to somebody, then some other guy who posted a wanted for those chips at some point in past gets upset about it.

Allowing a holiday, birthday or anniversary to get in the way of a regularly-scheduled poker game is evidence of a seriously skewed set of priorities. And the need to better train friends/family to recognize the difference between right vs. wrong
