They really did, with my Arrow setup (code 2120), I don't even have to look at the card to know I have the ace of hearts!
I have setups going back to the nineties. The only set that doesn’t have flaws are the arrows by USPC.

THIS. So the new rule would be "no thread crapping UNTIL others start pumping it." Then post away as long as you are expressing an opinion or stating facts.

Also, posting a link to the thread where the seller purchased the chips at half his asking price should NOT be considered thread crapping.
Now I feel like I've been rolled by thread pumping

Also, if you are going to limit the set to 4 denoms, and you start with T25, then scrap the useless 2X jump from T500 to T1000. Use a T2000 chip instead.

Recently used a T2k chip in a tourney and it confused more than it’s fair share of players.

Have more chips this way too

I always disliked the thought of the T2000 chip and felt that it would confuse more than it helps.

It's a funny denomination - logically it makes sense to have, but (for me) it doesn't logically fit into a bet.

Interesting to hear that it confused players (it would confuse me). @MatB Were they regular poker players? Chippers? Casual players?

It was about 30 chippers, not sure of the total. Great simple chip set. Im sure id get used to it, but there were quite a few 'misclicks' LOL.

Rabbit hunting is fine
Even if it's done on every hand, you're talking about what, an extra second? Maybe 2? Realistically, I don't think you're losing a hand a night due to rabbit hunting, so I say let people have their fun.
AND, if they know they'll get to see that river card, it might make it easier for them to fold. If they tank for less time, could rabbit hunting be SAVING time?

Trying to make sense of this. What's the confusing part? You have players who can't multiply 500 x 2 for a bet of 1000? Can't figure out how many T2000s and how many T500s make a bet of 3-5-7000? Can't add 2+2+2+2 - or however many they need to get to the bet amount they want?

Can I get an invite to the games where these people play? Cause I love to play poker with people who can't do simple math.

Also, just to be clear - my comment was directed at the comment that says you only need 4 tournament denominations. Personally, I prefer 5 (or even 6) for a T25 game. 25 - 100 - 500 - 1000 - 5000. OR 25 - 100 - 500 - 2000 - 10,000. But if you are only going to use 4 starting with T25, then T1000 might be too small for the top denom, depending on the stack size you want to use. For example, I find it easier to make a 16K bet with 8 x T2000 than with 16 x T1000.

It’s more about habit than math and numbers. I had a problem with players when I have black 20s (they confuse them for 100) or white 100s that aren’t oversized (they confuse them as 1s). Yes the numbers are clearly printed on the inlay but it happened enough that I quit using them. Didn’t believe it until it happened enough to annoy me too

LOL

Pretty sure it wasn’t a math problem

More of a ‘habit’ problem. 1k is much more prevalent in tourneys and people are used to it.
Add alcohol.
Misclicks ensue.

And yes. You’ll have the opportunity to play with a few of the misclickers in Dallas this August.

I recently gave someone some needles for counting out his 80kish of 5ks in stacks of 2 (?!) in between hands. Like what in the world. Come on dude.

Then he won a big pot off me. A hearty “Good luck counting your stack now!” got a big smile from him

You must be new at the warlord despot thing. It’s a chicken and the egg problem. Which came first - the reign of terror or the uncontrollable power?

(Trick question, hotshot. You need both).

Classes every Thursday on Zoom at 6p Mountain Time. Please ensure you deposit is in prior to the first session.
