Ideas of Royal Ascot Jockey Club and Denali's Summit were intended with the Jockey mold in mind - the later because the jockey looks like a skier (without skis, but then the jockey is without a horse...)

I agree with Ben - "casino," "cardroom" etc. are less than inspired. Most of the great casinos don't say "Casino" on the chip. It gives me the feeling of "It's a real casino chip, because it says 'casino' right here," and that leaves a "real casino weight " taste in my mouth. Not a deal breaker, but uninspired.

I could live with Royal Ascot Jockey Club :)
I splashed out on Royal Enclosure tickets this year.

Personally I'm not so much concerned with a theme "fitting" the jockey mold as unless you know the name of it, absolutely no one has any clue that that's what it's supposed to be. :p

True story - one night I was messing around with some chips on a couple of specific molds and my 7-year-old daughter asks me why they were in 2 different piles. I told her to look through them and see if she could figure out what was different about them, other than the colors. She comes back with "the markings on the edge are different." Ka-ching! She then insists to know what the different molds are called, and then have me go through my entire collection and pick out all the different molds and see if she can guess what they're called - this is an hour or so of fun and she nails most of them, or close enough (with a nice teaching moment about what a fleur-de-lis is and what it means :)) and eventually, near the end, we get to the jockey mold.

"What do you think this is?"

"Uhhh... errr... Ice Cream Sundae mold???"

 :ROFLMAO:

The Forum Soda Fountain on the ice cream sundae mold

Now there's a serious contender IMO

It's much easier to swallow a name if it's presented as a concept. Ie: I would never even consider "River Queen". Upon seeing the mocked up logo however? Mmmmmmmm yeah! I love it! There are a lot of really good ideas for names already. They just need the visual element to validate them.

Just putzing around. I don't have Photoshop with me so I'm limited with the hamstrung Elements 8 program, and came up with an inverse hotstamp idea. I don't know if it's even possible (because I've never seen one done before). Perhaps @David Spragg can shed some light on whether this is possible or not.
Imprtial Dragon copy.jpg

If it was possible, I was thinking of making the golden spot shaped like the sunburst / 42c, but the effort to results ratio in Elements isn't worth the mock-up.

Also throwing the Imperial Dragon name into the hat for consideration. Not location specific, does not use "club, room, casino etc", does not reuse the name of an actual casino or fantasy set.

3 issues I'm afraid:
You would need the chips to be level with a thou (which is impossible)
The stamp would almost certainly clog up anyway
Way too much detail on the dragon to etch on a die.

1 vote for Jockey. I mean, when else am I ever going to use that mold? I also sometimes referred to that mold as "The Dump", or "The Thinker" mold. But, that's just me...

That is a whip, not a rolled up newspaper ;)

Voted for "The Forum" AINEC. I don't know what other people think of when they see/hear those words, but what comes to mind immediately for me is a place where persons of stature gather to socialize and discuss important (or not-so-important) issues in a civilized fashion - i.e. something we would all strive for our homes to be.

To me, it's either in Rome, or the place where the Lakers play -- and the Lakers association is a big negative.

Exactly. Maybe a drunken witch on a short broom?

Running Ace's or Canterbury? Oh wait those are both horse track racing casino's near me ;)

Horse's Ace has a nice ring to it.

Wow, very cool to open this thread and see my new custom hot stamps featured as the jumping off point for a potential group buy. I will put up pictures of the actual chips soon, probably this weekend. They are simply spectacular.
