Being a vendor has nothing to do with today’s fiasco. Putting % limits for each denomination is fine, but don’t cancel orders if % is wrong. Just re-adjust.
For me it was place order, 25c out of stock, remove them. Re-calculate, re-enter. $500 out of stock, recalculate, re-enter. $100 out of stock... no point now.
But what leaves a bad taste is not that I didn’t manage to get any, but that the chips will start showing up in the ads from people trying to make profit out of them.
This is probably my last post. Have already requested my account to be deleted. I am sure there are good people in the site(have met and transact with a few), but the bad apples make it a shitty place. Over and out.
It will...once he sells out, Jim usually posts the totals.I am honestly curious as to how many primary 500’s were made available but I doubt that ever becomes public knowledge.
I don’t believe so. In the past it will just say something like there’s no more inventory for one or more of the chips. You won’t know which ones. You have to resubmit the order without those chips and likely replace them with others to meet limits. It is difficult with this many people for the limited denoms. Invariably people end up posting in the sales thread 30 seconds later stating they got their order in. By the 1 minute mark you start seeing people posting they couldn’t complete their order because some chip denoms are out and that screwed up their whole order plan and now they got nothing etc. then you get lots more of those posts over the next few minutes... it can be frustrating, so I can’t emphasize enough, as others have, be quick as you can, have a back up plan, but probably most importantly, prepare yourself mentally and emotionally to not get the exact order or any chips at all IF you are looking for rarer denoms. That’s gotta be the most important thing not to have your day or week ruined if you don’t get what you want. It’s highly likely to happen to those looking for the coveted denoms. There’s not really a better way, and we all thank Jim for the chance at any of these chips.
Love you, Jim! Keep bringing the chips! We'll keep buying them!We have completed the painstaking job of printing and sorting all of the orders. I have started printing shipping labels. I always do alphabetically starting with the first name A. We will begin shipping tomorrow. It should take me about 4 days. You don't have to ask about combined shipping, that is why we sort them. We will automatically refund any excess shipping. I'm excited to get these in everyone's hands.
I know the system isn't perfect, but we try to do whats best for everyone. We have 3 goals we look at when we try and figure out how to sell them
Thanks for your support!!
- How do get the chips in the hands of the people who will appreciate them for a reasonable price (not to flippers)
- We need to do what's simplest for our processes. It's a lot of orders to handle.
- We try to sell an even percentage of the denominations, so we are not stuck with only a couple.
Jim
Nope, he put his money on the line to purchase these... He can do what he wants.....
I can see your point... I guess I’m just saying he put in all the work to find the right contacts, make the deal and put up a butt-Ton of money. I am okay with him making a few bucks..Not sure of the logic here.. Do you mean because he is a vendor? ... your statement can apply to anyone who buys anything.
Yup. Me too. Not sure what everyone else was doing saying they got shut out. Click. Quantity. Checkout. Took me probably 30 seconds. Only thing I missed out on was primary $500’s....which seems to be a recurring theme....
I think that there are still $25 primaries and $100 secondaries. Perhaps grand opening chips too in the OP of this thread. So is it a complete sell out? I'm wondering about trying to pick up a few more if possible.
Yeah Jim @TheChipRoom , I understand the process, sorry I couldn't get chips this time, but appreciate you bringing more chips to market. Hoping the future might bring members only sales
i can confirm there is still $25 primaries and $100 secondaries. I just ordered someI think that there are still $25 primaries and $100 secondaries. Perhaps grand opening chips too in the OP of this thread.

You don't want to start with Z this time ?
Last time i was the last one after more than a month to whait....i gat a super present but it was long
I may be brand new to chipping, but I just have to chime in here.
After spending a few months on the forums and browsing the classifieds I would say that 95% of the community here are genuinely really good, fair, honest, and humble people! Obviously there will always be a few outliers but people should really take a step back and put things into perspective once in a while. There are people walking around all over the world who are getting the worst news of their lives today or who may suffer a tragedy in their life. And while this is such an amazing opportunity to purchase mint Paulson chips at an incredibly affordable price, there are other things to get upset or frustrated about when something doesn't go your way. I honestly don't think the majority of people on this forum fall into this category, but it's hard not to feel "sorry for yourself" when you set your mind on something and then something happens that alters that. It happens.
I was drawn to these chips not only because of their beauty, but because my son's name is Jack and thought it would be cool to pass along a set to him one day. I was about to pull the trigger on a 1200 chip order but then just decided I would take what I could get and slowly build the set I wanted for him. While they were not my first choice, I was able to scoop some Primary 25's and Secondary 100's and was just thankful for the opportunity given by @TheChipRoom . I'm also thankful that Jim is going to be having an additional add on sale. And whatever he chooses to release for denominations and whatever he chooses to set the max limit per chip at I will be thankful once again for the opportunity.
Everyone just needs to be grateful and appreciative. Everything else will work itself out.
