I may be brand new to chipping, but I just have to chime in here.

After spending a few months on the forums and browsing the classifieds I would say that 95% of the community here are genuinely really good, fair, honest, and humble people! Obviously there will always be a few outliers but people should really take a step back and put things into perspective once in a while. There are people walking around all over the world who are getting the worst news of their lives today or who may suffer a tragedy in their life. And while this is such an amazing opportunity to purchase mint Paulson chips at an incredibly affordable price, there are other things to get upset or frustrated about when something doesn't go your way. I honestly don't think the majority of people on this forum fall into this category, but it's hard not to feel "sorry for yourself" when you set your mind on something and then something happens that alters that. It happens.

I was drawn to these chips not only because of their beauty, but because my son's name is Jack and thought it would be cool to pass along a set to him one day. I was about to pull the trigger on a 1200 chip order but then just decided I would take what I could get and slowly build the set I wanted for him. While they were not my first choice, I was able to scoop some Primary 25's and Secondary 100's and was just thankful for the opportunity given by @TheChipRoom . I'm also thankful that Jim is going to be having an additional add on sale. And whatever he chooses to release for denominations and whatever he chooses to set the max limit per chip at I will be thankful once again for the opportunity.

Everyone just needs to be grateful and appreciative. Everything else will work itself out.
Well said, can't please everybody. We should be thankful that we have an option to buy these chips.

There was a link for sample sets. If you "built" a sample set, you probably got denied. I believe the samples went with a slight premium, because they took highly-valued chips away from playable sets.

I ordered sample sets, and only sample sets, using the sample set link during yesterday's early sale.

Saw that there were still 25's available this morning so ordered some of those. Assumed that was ok but guessing that broke the combined orders rule?

Oh well, guess I will wait and see if some are available in next Sundays sale.

There was a restriction of maximum 3 sample sets. How many did you order?

If 3 or fewer, shoot Jim a pm or email.

@TheChipRoom , Jim, my only concern for the upcoming add-on sale, if it is without some of the restriction safeguards that you had with yesterday's sale, is that it will allow some people to hoard single denominations if they just want to race to complete an order as fast as possible (looking at you, fracs, snappers, and Primary higher denoms). I'm just wondering if there's some fair way to adjudicate a fair distribution of chips to people to complete partially playable sets?

My initial thoughts were to put a hard chip limit on some denoms, like maybe max 20-25 chips per denom for the low quantity/high demand chips, or maybe allow a higher max % for all denoms that still forces some distribution, i.e. 20% max for any denom up to "x" chips, or something like that. I don't know if this would be easier or harder to accomplish compared to yesterday's sale, but wondering if it should be considered.

That sounds great if you already have chips but those of us that didnt get any would appreciate more than 25 of a denom

The percentage limit wouldn’t work well for people (like me) that only need one denomination to complete their set. I assume there will be limits on each type of chip or totals.

I cannot "like" this enough times.

Given the percentage requirements, unless you were shooting a serious angle, everyone that got a set, got at the very least "partially playable sets". Sure, everyone's requirements may be different, but my (failed) order fell easily within the percentage requirements, and I don't think I have unusual breakdowns for most of my sets.

I suspect that Jim built the limitations knowing full well what was needed to make a playable set.

The other day I bought a coffee from Starbucks and when the barista asked my name, I told her "Marc with a C." When I got my coffee a couple minutes later, written on the cup was the name "Carc"

It's not really true, I just like that joke

When I heard it, the muscular customer replied, "I'm a Jock, with a C"...

I once had a waitress ask me if I wanted my rye toast toasted.

I once asked a vendor at an amusement park for a snow cone, with no ice.

He got almost all the way to the machine before he caught on, and just froze in his tracks. It was probably a full 10 seconds before he caught on.

I was a dick as a teenager.

Stafil is pissed that he didn't win the Powerball last week, and will no longer play the lottery.

I've dissected the stafil situation and here's how I see it based on a gut feeling. He boasted to his friends about having the most badass chip set any one of them will ever lay their eyes on until, well...he didn't. Game night approaching, he's stuck trying to figure out how to get himself out of this one. My guess is that there's going to be a cover up involved, a set of China clays will be ordered along with thousands of labels from Gear resembling the JACK Casino label and he's going to hope for the best. Meanwhile we humble PCF members have to take the verbal abuse because he knows what how much hard work he's going to have to do at this point to not look like the ultimate bull$hitter.

Just my 2 cents.

P.S. As per the comment 2 minutes prior to the sale, this serves as a clue supporting my theory. The level of urgency to make this happen was VERY high.

P.P.S. If anybody would like to hire someone for investigative purposes specifically related to chipping, feel free to PM. I charge by your most expensive set or a flat rate.
