Hey @TheChipRoom Jim, are the chips pictured generally representative of the chips for sale? I ask because condition-wise, they look really good.
just buy as much as you can possibly afford, and trade later. People make this process too damn complicated.
.... I will pay a slight premium....
That's funny!
* "Fat Chance"
I completely agree. In addition, I would add that the 0.25 chip is brown ...My guess is that most buyers will go for this, with varying ratio of $1s to $5s, and the after-market will flourish!
> every chip from top to bottom is great including the inlay....
Really? Love the colors of the $100 and $500 chips themselves, and this sale should easily sell out, but IMO that inlay should pop up in the "dullest inlay" thread right soon. These chips should be prime re-labeling fodder.
Considering that the chip won't see a ton of action unless relabeled or repurposed for a mixed tourney set, I must say that the $500 chip is bad ass and deserves to see the felt.
THis. I can’t justify buying 1000 chips just for a rack of the $500sIf I could, I would just buy a rack of the $500s
Same boat.THis. I can’t justify buying 1000 chips just for a rack of the $500s
Paypal isn't that smart. As a merchant there's no way to set limits beyond the total inventory.Question - As far as the limits are concerned, will you not be able add more than what's allowed for each denomination? If I try to add 200 quarters will it not let me? Or will it and then Jim will have to go back and make sure people abided by the limits? Just asking because I'm trying to hash out my strategy
I'm certainly not intending on doing that. My plan was to to first complete one order of the denominations that will probably sell out quickly and then go back and create another order with denoms that probably won't sell out as quickly and fulfill the limits and percent totals. Just wanted to know if PayPal would block me from doing this.Paypal isn't that smart. As a merchant there's no way to set limits beyond the total inventory.
Jim does a tremendous amount of manual work with each sale, which is also why things won't ship for a few days after the sale posts. He will print all the orders and match them up by household to a) look for anyone exceeding the published limits and b) combine shipping on multiple orders (and refund any excess shipping charges).
Yes, you could successfully order way more than you are allowed as far as PayPal is concerned. I would strongly suggest not doing so because in the past that has led to entire orders being unceremoniously canceled with a full refund. When he's staring at several hundred orders he doesn't have time to fiddle fart around with people who can't follow the rules.
It won't block you, and like I said Jim will combine orders. The only risk would be if the second order can't be completed because those sell out faster than anticipated - you could wind up with no chips of any denomination. But then again the gambol is part of what makes it fun for some.I'm certainly not intending on doing that. go back and create another order
I think this one is the "big" set out of the three, and there are a few people waiting for the other two... So it might work..m might...Like there will be time for that!
I think its a solid plan for this sale.I'm certainly not intending on doing that. Used to be... with the old cart it would just more or less tell you "these particular chips are no longer available but if you'd like to buy everything else in your cart click HERE". Now it's the ridiculous pain in the ass of telling you what's not available and having to take additional steps (removing from cart) before moving on to payment.When doing these orders is it easy to remove/skip chips that aren't available in order to complete the rest of the order?
