Thank you guys. Anyone else have any more ideas!
That is a SOLID pick. If they don't have it the 1897 or the Statesman are also solid choices from Old Forester. $50 (around my parts) will get you a Weller 107. Buy THAT if you can find it.

My three favorite OFs. The OF 100 proof is great for mixed drinks too.

just watched BJ's review of the ER17 2019. Am I stoked??....dude they were freaking out. How much more fine bourbon have they had than me? A SHIT TON? Absolutely. I think I scored the correct bottle today...the Pappy was Old Rip 10 I think, they also raffled a Sazerac 18

I'm so happy for you bud!!!

I've had GTS at a neighbor's house, but never ER17. He keeps his ER17 his bottle in his gun safe as his emergency bottle.

Well @detroitdad tried getting us our own single barrel of Wellers 107. Don’t think there will be any left by the time I get to order lol.

Speaking of exchanges, I'm participating in a Holiday Bourbon Exchange.
Two questions for this group -
1) Old Forester 1920, Four Roses Small Batch Select, or EH Taylor Small Batch? All within $7 from my source.

2) Kosher to invite folks from the forum to join in? Anyone want to participate? You buy *ONE* bottle valued at $45 or more and potentially get many more back. If interested or want details PM me. If these sort of chain campaigns are frowned upon here, that feedback would also be appreciated.

All are great. I have them all. :)

Taylor is probably the hardest to find for most people, so I would go with that one. Plus the canister makes for a good presentation for a gift. Old Forester 1920 is probably my favorite of the group.

^ That. Availability aside, 1920>EHT>Select. All three are great bourbons and represent three very different flavor profiles.

Wow. My neck pour of Bookers was terrible. Now that it has been sitting for a month, it is SO much better. Toasted nut, spice and cinnamon goodness!

I am assuming I will feel the same way about the Little Book (up next) and the Knob Creek 15 year once it has had time to chill out and open up
