Don't be, man. I very rarely see Stagg Jr on the shelves. That was pure luck I got that bottle for state minimum. I also paid way more for other releases as well. Been there, done that!

Just scored my Christmas haul. Passed the George t stagg was not super impressed last year and for the money I’ll keep drinking the jr.

Never had the ths or the rock hill looking forward to that. Already cracked the Hancock’s and it was better than lasts years batch great juice if y’all can get one do so.

They had the pappy 13 rye but was unsure about it someone let me know if I should have taken that instead of the 12.

Please let me know how that rye is. I got the 12 over it because I got the ths but was wanting that too and they put me on a limit lol.

They may let me have another pass through in February or so if they don’t sell everything. May be able to get one next year. If Covid will ever stop us from socializing we can have a TN meet up and sample some of this stuff. I sure do need a durn poker night, cancels my casino trip that I had planned for first of December.

The Four Roses mixes well with everything! But why?

Edit: Admittedly the old fashion is a mix to showcase the bourbon.

I have rules: I generally don’t buy Bourbon cheaper than $25. I’ll make mixed drinks with that stuff: Early Times BiB, Knob Creek 9yr, Old Forester 100.

I’ll make cocktails with Bourbons in the $25 to $50ish range. Four Roses single barrel falls into the top end of that. :)

Now, anything $50 and over, I only drink neat. Even barrel strength. I’ll sometimes add a few drops of water, but never ice.

These are my “rules” for me. You can drink yours however you want. I’ll never judge ;)
