lol, in all seriousness, I use my Bulleit Rye for an old fashioned, but I have not mixed or used ice with any others. I have actually bought over 70 bottles this year and I have WAY too many of them open. I am going to have to get creative and start mixing and trying some good bourbon and rye cocktails

How many bottles of wine have you bought??

Splash of water, club soda, or large cube for me. Can never get fully on board with going neat except for the initial tasting

Budget willet kinda night

That Old Bardstown Estate is my favorite bourbon! I love all of the Willets, but don't tell the guys at Maker's Mark. Regular Makers is still my daily!

Tbh, i was pretty surprised with the estate and BiB bottles! pretty good for being sub ~$40

Double rye is up first, really tasty and unique stuff for the price! Great spice but tapers off with a more bourbon like sweetness. Drinking neat but it would go well in an old fashioned or a Manhattan.

The Rare Breed was really good I thought. I haven't had a bottle of WT since college and at that time in my life I only bought it because it was cheap lol. WT rare breed has a unique taste that I quite like. Similar taste to RR10 that I also enjoy.

The 1792 is good as well, quite a hot finish. I've never had 1792 so I'd be interested to compare it to the standard 1792 offering.

I recommend the BiB 1792. So unique (for me anyway) with wonderful banana notes both on the nose and the palate

Stopped in at Total Wine while out running errands. They had 6 Taylor small batch and 4 Booker’s 2020-03. I only got one of each, though there was no limit. But there was a limit on ECBP, which is easy to find here. :confused
Damn bro. The EHT is sooooo abundant there seemingly. I would just buy as much as they allow me to because I love it and it is extremely hard to find here (usually). I am guessing that the B520 will disappear quickly and you will only see C920 eventually. I can't believe you guys don't have the C920 yet.
At any rate, THANK YOU for hooking a brother up!!

Ok, this bottle is finally dwindling. I can safely say that I LOATHE it. Absolutely disgusting. I know most of you guys like this stuff, but for $90 I'd rather buy a train ticket, miss the train, and then get hit by said train while freaking out in my car b/c I missed my train on my drive home. What am I missing here??

I love hibiki 12 and 17. But I too don’t like harmony. But it’s not as bad as toki

Did they re-bottle the Maker's Mark cask strength? And re-price it? I see this one for like $55 or so:

Then I will see this one for $40 or less:

Wow. When I first purchased Bernheim and Russel's Reserve SB, I put Bernheim automatically above the RR b/c immediately I liked it better being a wheated bourbon (and I was obsessed with wheaters b/c I love Weller). Now, after they have both been opened for a spell....the RR is superior IMO. I get a bit of banana, red fruit and chocolate on the nose, pepper and spice and maybe a cinnamon vanilla flavor on the palate, and it leaves me with a long maple finale. I will rethink my stance on Russel's Reserve. Is the 10 year awesome compared to the single barrel? Please enlighten me!

Yeah i cannot find EHT anywhere and it's definitely one of my favorites for the price.

The store I went to today had 3-4 ECBF C920s but I didn't bother as I already have one at home and it's my least favorite of all this year's releases.

The Rare Breed has a heavy cherry/stonefruit taste to me right up front. Delish.

It's similar to the taste I recall from RR10 but more intense.

@JeepologyOffroad recommended RR to me, and I love it. I bought the single barrel too. I like the single barrel better, but not at $70, which is double the 10yr for me. I have found the single barrel at $55 now, and that's the most I will pay for it.
