Definitely one of my favorite batches so far. I have a few different batches open atm, but i keep coming back to this one.
If anyone has some A/C 17s or A/B 18s, i'd be down to swap some samples
This is actually a Single Barrel in a small batch bottle ... a 10yr from Warehouse T ... just opened it a few days ago and it’s pretty solid. Happy to send a 2oz sample to a few if interested.

edit: sorry photos are jacked up it’s late

Forgot to mention this one, which might have traditionalists damn me for eternity, but given the hybrid nature of your request, this might be a fascinating choice.

The Corksicle Whiskey Wedge is an old fashioned glass that comes with a silicone mold that allows you to create a wedge of ice in your glass.

When I drink with my father in law we use these. I like em for what they are. Don’t think I’d ever use em myself over a big ice sphere if ice is the goal, but they do accomplish that goal well

My favorite store has their single barrel store pick of EC, but I haven’t bought one. Maybe it’s time.

When I drink with my father in law
Father accidentally catches daughter masturbating with a vibrator and excuses himself.
Some days later tries to talk her into finding a man, only to be told that men are useless and dangerous, and vibrators are all that a girl needs.
Several days later the daughter steps into the house, hearing the vibrator's sound, leading her to the kithen table, where her dad is having a scotch, with the vibrator running, on the table.
-"Dad, WTF is this?"
-"Shouldn't I be having a cup with my son in law?"
:D

I have a C917 open right now. Still have to order some sample bottles though.

$29 for this today. Seriously, almost any new bourbon from a new masher/distiller/barreler/ager/bottler is worth trying for $29. This seems to be their second try at this particular expression. The first was resoundingly panned and spit out. I'll let you all know how it goes.

I mean, it’s pretty much the law that you can only drink wine in a glass with a Tyrion quote. But your house, your rules, Herman.
I mean it's bigger than a wine goblet so you can fit a large ice cube, don't need a refill that often and you can still get that banana on your nose if you wanted.

I have no idea what’s going on with Greek humor but my god your off the wall posts do crack me up from time to time.

Modern releases?
  1. Willett C28A - Woodsman Tavern 19yr purple wax
I’d say I’m a bit of a WFE fanboy and this is by far the greatest bottle I’ve ever had.

I hunted for this specific Willett bottle, had no luck. Closest I could find was the Willett 11 Years Old Barrel #774 "Short Stack Lightning" 128.1 Proof. I don’t have much experience with Willett, so looking forward to tasting this one.

By the way, @aggie i found this while hunting:

Interesting resource.

Please share your thoughts once you crack it open! WFE is a dangerous path ....

Great resource, thanks for sharing. Oh and those Hirsches — never even seen a bottle in person

I've been wanting to try this for years, but it hasn't been available in Virginia. Apparently it's just started being carried. Cracked it open last night. Really enjoyed it, especially for $26.
Great rye to have especially as a mixer. I just picked up OF rye for $25 and it’s even better for sipping. I get a nice banana fosters note with it. The Rittenhouse will come through better in a mixed drink though

The Alberta is on my short list as well.

 Rittenhouse BiB has been a little bartenders' secret for years--it's a well rye, but better than many others that sell for many multiples in price.

You wouldn’t recommend it neat, tho, right? I’ve used it in cocktails, and they’re great. Especially for a great Old Fashioned.

I've had it neat/rocks, and while fine, it isn't as interesting as some other options higher up the price chain. Yes, it is more suited to cocktails. But at the price point, it is hard to beat, even neat. Sort of like Buffalo Trace (or dare I say, Eagle Rare), in that context.

I liked all of those middle shelf bourbons. They are right smack in the middle of my price point! Tonight I'll be opening up the ECBP C919 for the Superbowl.

EC Single Barrel 9 yr old. Won the right to buy in a raffle. RB&B.

Opening tonight at the cigar shop. Watching super bowl.
