A few years back, they found some barrels in the Dickel warehouse that had been mislaid, and forgotten about for 17 years.
They bottled them in a special run called "Distillery reserve". My stepfather managed to get two bottles from the distillery itself, and gave them to me and my stepbrother for Christmas.

I’ve never had this before. It’s ok. Above average. Quite a different bourbon. Definitely my 3rd favorite of the Redwood Empire offerings.

I too really liked Lost Monarch. Was not spectacular but solidly good.

It does taste young and light for my taste. But not a bad blend for $35. Will def give the others a shot
