Finally cracked my first bottle of 1920 and it’s exceeded my expectations. Fantastic pour!

ok, as you could have seen from my pic, I have poured a few of these. It has gotten better with each pour. Matts assessment, doesn't quite match mine on the palate and the finish but the nose is spot on. They are different batches. I say this (OR-1) is very similar, early in the bottle to Calumet 15, but distinguishes itself quickly after some air. It is DAMN GOOD. I will have to do a heads up battle against Calumet 15 to be sure, but I am pretty sure this is better. I agree it isn't HOF, but I'm very happy I have like 6 bottles, LOL

Kentucky owl batch 3 rye acquired, $140!
Cracked open a new bottle tonight:
Its been a while since Ive had a Four Roses offering, enjoying this a lot. Really nice nose - lots of vanilla with a touch of oak and sweet fruits (grape??). Similar notes follow through on the palate with some subtle dark undertones and peppery spice. Super smooth for 100+ proof. Finishes more peppery with some more oak and leather as it sits.

So...Barrell Seagrass. A local hole-in-the-wall has it for $82, which seems like a favorable price. I may go back for it. Ended up with the new release Willett 4YO rye for $57.
btw, I have been throwing that "HOF" around a lot lately. May I clarify?

You need to run your GTS 20 against the 18 that I gave you.
Was able to trade my Smoke Wagon Apex Barrel 13 yr for these today.
