Not sure I understand the hype around the EH small batch.

If that was my bar, I ain’t ever drinking the Weller SR. Nice!
Why? My buddy buys bottles he’ll never open. Now, he did pay $600 for one bottle, and I think its appreciated 3-4x that since then. … but he won’t sell it either…

Because everything else on that bar is better. I see that you took it to mean that I was putting the SR on a pedestal when I was doing the opposite. Weller 12 hubba hubba…

Any C921 tasters out there yet? I am interested in Matt's opinion AFTER several weeks have cleared the cracking. Not an auto-buy for me.....yet!
I might not have the most sophisticated palate, but I do know what I like when I taste it. I think this neck pour of C921 is considerably better than the tail end of my opened bottle of B521 that was cracked back in August. I’m glad I got two of these and cannot wait to revisit the C921 once it’s had some alone time in the cabinet.

Be on the lookout my friends. Retail is $70. With this high of a proof, it might be cheaper than gasoline soon!

Last year it was a barrel strength rye that JD released. I never could find one. *sad face* I do not like missing out on under-$100 releases that are awesome.
Want! My two bottles are around 130 proof.

Finally had a chance to fully unpack the bar after moving not too long ago onto…. this shitty table….

I have this really great corner in the space that transitions between the living room and dining room and fiancée and I have agreed to get some nice dry bar here to display/access it all better and also store glasses etc but I just can’t find a piece of furniture that I actually like.

I was looking for a while into mid century hutches but we have super narrow stairs and only rent so I don’t want something too huge that can’t come apart but everything on ikea/way fair feels really lackluster.

Any advice?

I was thinking about getting a nice side board and then hanging really secure floating shelves to show off the best bottles but I know myself, I like having lots of options out to pick from and don’t want any tucked away.

Also! Thought about creating a new thread for this somewhere but thought the crowd in this thread would at least appreciate the growing collection.

Having a Buffalo Trace store pick right now. It’s fantastic compared to regular BT.

Caramel bomb. Citrus. Then a vanilla finish with some spice.

I will have to revisit mine. I remember my store pick being nearly identical to the regular. Maybe this weekend

Having one more "I love my job" drinky-poo. This one is the Sagamore Spirit Cask Strength Rye. Not a bad rye by ANY means. In fact, I really like this one. It is not a HOF bottle like KO4 or Alberta, but it is damn good

I think it’s a good value. Not my favorite rye either. I almost bought the 8yr today, but passed on it and got the Calumet 15yr finally.
