In light of the new chipping and wives thread I’m gonna leave this one here. “How to hide whiskey from your wife”

Finding 5 is like winning the sweepstakes in your area apparently. Finding ONE in my area is like capturing Pegasus and flying his horsey ass around town while chugging Pappy Van Winkle dressed like Zeus macking on Playboy centerfolds.
I know it’s pretty crazy. My same friend has the most insane luck when he goes hunting, he’s had several big scores like this. This photo brings a damn tear to my eye

I think I'm gonna put the Bib & Tucker on my short list. I've seen that bottle 500 times and have always considered & passed. I love all things Glendronach but haven't tried the Port Wood yet, so that's going on the list too. Jeez I need help lol

I picked up a local bourbon, but it’s actually made by Sagamore. I’ve been told they’re sitting on about 500 barrels, but don’t want to brand/release it until it’s at least 6 years old. The bottle I have is 4 years old. It’s a tad light, but an easy drinker.

So, look for Sagamore bourbon in about 2 years and beyond

Happy Ryeteous Fryeday. Starting off with a bourye in Lost Monarch to kick things off. Hope you peeps are enjoying some tasty whiskey!

Grocery store had six Knob Creek 15yr bottles a week ago. I said no.
Earlier this week, I was there and checked again. They still had four. I said no.
Today they were down to one. I said no.
Then my wife needed me to go back to the store for some more cookie ingredients. It was still there. I said yes. ($80 + tax)

Gotta try it, right?

Please share your opinion!!!
I think it’s really good. I didn’t pay retail, but it wasn’t much above. If I had paid secondary, I think that I would be a little disappointed.

The noes is full of rye spice and some oak and mint.

Palate is a ton of rye spice immediately, then softens to vanilla, cinnamon and baking spice.

Finish is intense and warm. Pretty powerful for a BiB.

I really like it. It’s familiar to some of the other ryes that I have, but I can’t put my finger on which ones.
