that's what I was saying. So, I am about 1/2 way through my first BBNAGB New Riff bottle. It tastes like a completely different bottle now. MUCH better than the first half. I think the strategy is to pop it and forget about it for a month perhaps?? ....damn it is good!
Completely agree. Had a sample of my 1st bottle about a month after opening, and it was fantastic. Definitely one to let age for 4-6 weeks once you break it open.that's what I was saying.
I had a pour every saturday and it just got better and better. on about week 3 it was amazing
Winding down a work conference at Carolina Beach…outside sipping on what my favorite bartender thinks a single pour of Makers should be!View attachment 1005693Yes, that’s a 12oz cup half filled
I said she was my favorite bartender, didn’t I?Wait, that looks like a regular pour for you! Or is that @Highli99 ?? lol!!
Not if you want that glass's shape to contribute anything to the experience. You probably already know that you should have about half that amount in it...Guys I’m trying to be more civilized am I doing it right?
Yes, I was curious where my normal pour in my other glass translated to this one. For my second drink I will try to do it right! Not if you want that glass's shape to contribute anything to the experience. You probably already know that you should have about half that amount in it...
You can always pour more later, you know...
First time I’ve seen the Pepper barrel proof rye. I’ll have to compare it to the Old Pepper… for science.

I now have the 2021 and 2022 unopened. I'll have to open them both soon!I enjoy bombergers but I only have the 2021
Yes I’ve had it. It’s pretty oaky but still very deliciousAnyone had the Elijah Craig 18 yr??
Reviews and ratings on that are excellent. I don't spend $175+ on whiskey, but if I did, I'd be seeking one out.I heard Knob 18 was really good too btw
Had a pour last weekend. Good but I actually prefer the Single Barrel Select. The 18 was oaky but not an oak bomb, balanced in spite of the oak forward flavor. But there wasn't much more complexity that I could pick out.Reviews and ratings on that are excellent. I don't spend $175+ on whiskey, but if I did, I'd be seeking one out.
It is. For the first time in forever, I might join you degens and drink some of my MidWest Pumpernickel Rye and Ported Pumpernickel, since I have them out. Going to go start some "Favorite $1000 Chip" semifinals first tho. It's Fryeday!
Picked up a nice store pick on the way home from the work conference I was at View attachment 1006259Never ever pass up any of their barrel proof offerings!
