Quite different from our donkey juice, but it’s also really good!

I saw a local store pick this weekend and almost snapped bought it. I refrained but they have LOTS of bottles and it won't go fast. Tasting notes were completely different than the donkey juice. New Riff are ballers.
Flavor profiles of this and the mule mead couldn’t be more different. This ADHD pick reminds me of a spicy root beer float and our pick has so much cocoa and marshmallow. The only constant in both is the nice high rye spiciness.

Can’t recommend New Riff enough to people who’ve never heard of them or tasted their juice!

Oh holy hell. I know the Alberta Old Fashioned is fire. My bottle draining easy mixed is a bourbon and ginger ale. I just tried the Alberta Ginger. Fargin great. This juice cannot be denied.

Edit: Ginger and Cinnamon is what I get. The Alberta has so much proof that it is a dangerous drink.

I'm tired of not drinking whiskey - between a sour stomach and a bout with The Rona four months ago, I've just not been in the mood. Today I successfully fried my first turkey, and it was fantastic. (I had to practice for Thanksgiving. I didn't want Turkey Day to be my debut at frying, and turkeys around me went on sale about a week ago, so I got one to test out.) So I thought I would have a mild evening celebration.

I discovered that my ECBP A122 was open, but hardly used at all. My B522 and C922 were both sealed. I corrected my error and am having a little ECBP party.

That makes seven open ECBP vintages, and almost zero backups. (A119, all the 21s and 22s) Cheers!

Show off  :ROFLMAO:

If I was going to flex my whiskey, my ECBPs would be one item of note. The other would be my first edition RR13. That's about the best I could do, but in my little corner of Elkhart, Indiana, I'll take it and be happy. :) Plus, it's all purchased at MSRP or close to it.

The A122 is kicking the pants out of the B522 and C922 right now. Online reviews seem to favor the C then the A then the B in that order. My A has had months to open up.

And I don't drink out of glencairns anymore. F*ck those things. Those Kimura glasses are sexy, I think two of those are in my Christmas future. Well, ordering them anyway.

Give them a little while to sit and open up. Also you're jumping into rocket fuel after a good deal of time away, give it a drink or two. I had the same thing happen last night, first drink in over a month, just getting over being sick, that first drink back just felt "off". The next six were much better ;)

They are all getting better as I sip on them. The aroma on all three is amazing, simply everything I love about drinking bourbon.
I’m 3/4 through a B522. It’s really good. Best batch since C920. I’ll open the C922 next, which is getting rave reviews as well.

ECBP IS BACK, BABY! Batches since C920 were good. But I think they are back to being great.

I’ll echo some of the sentiments of this year’s ECBP batches…I thought the neck pour of B522 was not that good but it does significantly improve with a little time. I actually liked the neck pour of C922 quite a bit and subsequent pours in only a week’s time have greatly improved. I agree with how great the nose on all three is. I’m torn between A122 and C922 being the best batch of this year and I’m certain that C921 has been my favorite over the last 6 batches.

At the end of the day, they’re all real good or better and I’ll not kid myself into thinking I’ll pass on any batch I get lucky enough to come across.

Glad you’re feeling well enough to get back up on that horse!

Has anyone else had this? It’s been open for a few months now. I’ve tried it several times and this past weekend I had 4 or 5 others try it. We all agree it’s the worst thing we have ever tasted. Not sure if it’s a bad bottle or that’s just what “American Single Malt” is like. Or I’m just a proof whore and 88 proof just doesn’t do it for me.

For as much grief as it gets, it turns out to be tasty in an Old Fashioned
1.5oz Rowan’s
.5 oz Bulleit Rye (ran out of Rowan’s)
2 dash bitters
2 dash orange bitters
Spritz orange oil

Just picked up this bottle of A Midwinter Night's Dram—pretty limited yearly release from High West. Waiting 'til Christmas to open it, but wonder if you all have had it before. Wasn't cheap, but I hear they resell for hundreds.
