The benefits of having British inlaws. I get the opportunity to pick up some interesting bottles. Blue Hanger is supposed to be Berry Bros & Rudd’s answer to Blue Label, at about half the price.

Blue Label isn't a blend?
I like it--it is a nice vatted malt.
JW Blue is vatted -- a mixture of single malt whiskies, but it is not a blended whiskey.
"Blended" whiskies include grain whiskies.

I don’t think Blue is vatted. It has grain whisky in it.

Blue Label is a Blended Scotch Whisky as it can be read on the label. That is defined as a combination of Malt Whisky and Grain Whisky.
As @joeyshin wrote above, the only pure Malt Whisky (Blended Malt at that) in the Johnny Walker line-up is the Green Label.
I stand (actually, sit) corrected (and misinformed, since I don't own a bottle). Garbage in = garbage out.

I finally got around to unpacking the bar for the new house. I am beginning to think I have a small single malt problem!
other than the Evan 1783 and a couple of bottles of blends the first box shows I should have enough single malt in variety to last a little while.

You might as well give up and change your name to Glen.
It's funny but I have told many that my everyday scotch is Glenlivet 12. Since people heard that I have since received bottles as gifts of the 14, 15 and 18 year. I really enjoyed the 14 year.

In quarantine, do vacation drinking rules apply? No wine or spirits before noon unless mixed with tomato juice, orange juice or coffee. Beer is cool though...
The only rule for drinking whilst in quarantine is: drink whatever you want — whenever you want.
