Blantons and ginger ale actually go great together.

Closest I could get (which is sad because I almost always have ginger ale on hand).

Solid meh. I much prefer a 7&7 with ginger ale, my go-to wedding cocktail. Those have helped create many interesting wedding memories for various family and friends over the years lol.

So sometime ago I quit taking pictures. Michters SiB Rye is a perfect match with Coke. But Angel's Envy made the best And coke cocktail.

And BTW.. I think I prefer Buffalo Trace to Blanton's. Blanton's is just a meh whiskey. No depth.

What are your top 3 picks of ECBP since 2020?

Mine are, in chronological order, B520, C920, and C922. Haven't tasted A123 yet...

You?
I believe mine are:

C920
B520
(Nothing else has been in the same league since)

But I haven’t tried C922 or the new A123 yet which I hear are great
1. C920
2. B520

3. C922
2020 was exceptional - i just tried C922 so maybe it has to open a bit but it is better than the more recent ones i've tried - far from par with the B/C batches of 2020 though imho

I did some sampling this weekend at one of my local stores. The owner is a great resource and has been doing private barrels with most of the distillers since before that was a thing. He gave the PSA that if you haven’t had any of the recent Noah’s Mill, you need to try it. Apparently for the past 4 years Willett has been using much younger and sourced juice, but recent batches are much older Willett. Look for something late 21 or 22, which should be readily available for under $60

PSA confirmed, this is phenomenal.....

Absolute flavor bomb - cherry, vanilla, brown sugar up front and then a lovely spiced oak takes over and dries out. Great chewy mouthfeel. I can't remember the last time I had a sample but it definitely wasn't this good.

Oh man, looks like I’ll be picking up a bottle of this soon. Thanks for the review

The prices went WAY up around me.

I forget what they used to go for, this bottle was $55 before tax. I'm heading back for a few more tomorrow.

I'm getting some floral notes in my second glass. A hint of.... lavender maybe? Perfectly proofed too, just enough oomph without going overboard.

$98 here at my Total Wine.

Just checked and my local Total Wine has it in stock. $58. Might have to make a bourbon run tomorrow.

It's been $55 around me for years...
That sounds about right, IIRC I tried this (along with Rowan Creek) a few years back and thought it was OK but that there were a lot of bottles $10-$20+ cheaper that were better (KC120, OF1920, WTRB, etc.). This new bottle is tasty!

I've got an unopened batch 21-63. I paid in the $50s for it.

And this will make you throw your back out: It was at retail.
I’m just glad that some of the good guys here at PCF are able to score bottles like that from time to time. I will admit that sometimes I do get a little bottle envy from time to time, but I think I do ok with the bottles I’ve been able to get over the last few years. Mrs. Baroo already thinks I’m freaking nuts if I spend $100 on a bottle…maybe it’s a good thing that I live in whiskey purgatory:unsure::ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

I’ve also been very fortunate to have befriended so many people here that are willing to get bottles for me at very fair prices! Great group we got here!!
