Sooooo weak.....

Me too….
I’m on the 10% rule now. I have to empty 10% of my total stock before I buy anything new….

Then I see something new and shiny….

That logic would just further encourage my alcoholism.....

I switch between Scotch and Bourbon. Currently finishing off a bottle of Widow Jane 10 Bourbon. My everyday go to drink, however, is the simple Macallan 12 single malt. My all time favorite is Yamazaki 18, of which I have two unopened bottles waiting for a special occasion. I have not yet found a Scotch that I don't like; I think I've run across a couple of Bourbons that I didn't like, but I've erased their names from my memory.

Welcome to the bourbon thread. And I guess we will see you back on PCF in about 6 months for your next post. Wonder which thread that will be in? :ROFLMAO:

Sorry, I couldn't resist... Just messing with you.

I'm a member on quite a few forums, Mustang, Bronco, RZR, Vegas, Cruises to name a few, never did I imagine I would be joining a poker chip one that has a dedicated bourbon thread! Its like a dream come true. Looking forward to adding more bottles to my ever expanding collection. Trust me I have been lurking this forum and thread for a couple weeks now, you guys have already cost me a couple hundred bucks trying new bottles and I have to say you all haven't disappointed me yet! Can't wait to post up some pictures of my collection and learn a lot more

I know I have brought up scotch before, so please bear with me as I ask another question. Heading out to my favorite retailer, mostly to get a bottle of Noah's Mill. So I might as well pick up my first bottle of scotch too. Got it narrowed down to three bottles. Hopefully all will be in stock. Web site says they are. Or if not, might be an easier decision. I was going to just get Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban, as I've had it before and liked it. But I noticed my retailer sells Aberlour 12 for a few dollars less than Total Wine. Yes, cost is still a factor in my decision making. The Quinta is $50 and the Aberlour is $53. Then I was reading about another Aberlour - the Casg Annamh. Just a few MORE $$ at $59, and it's 96P vs 92 for the Quinta and 86 for the A12.

So between these 3 bottles only, which would you buy and why?

Of those three, I'd start with the Glenmorangie. But if you are looking in the $60 range, maybe try this Compass Box Orchard House. It is fruit forward and delicious. A lighter scotch that I love for the summertime, but will also be great for beginners.

Thanks. Is that a single malt? What's the proof?

I think this is it at a much lower price on my store website.
