I dont have a flaviar membership anymore, but it was definitely worth giving a shot. The best thing I got was a sample of 3 really old japanese whiskeys. I still have them but dont remember which they were off the top of my head
What do they charge for that over there?
Have you had it before?Got this as a gift last night.

The Blanton’s brand is owned by a Japanese drinks company but it still doesn’t make sense why sftb and gold and all the other variations aren’t available here. The SFTB should be part of the BTAC line imo. Not sure why it's not and why it's not available in the US.

Gold is now available in the US. So maybe SFTB will someday. You're right! I thought Sazerac owned the brand but it only owns the right of distilling under it. The same company owns a bunch of other Buffalo Trace brands lie AA, ETL, RHF, Hancock, etc. So basically, all the Mashbill 2 brands.
That might not explain why Sazerac doesn't make Blantons Gold and SFTB available here in the US but it certainly explains the lack of those brands on the BTAC line up.
I’ve read that a lot of their range is whisky imported from Scotland then aged in Japan. I’ll take a pic of the back label later but it sounds like it as they mention the water they use to dilute the spirit. That’s a great pour. Time to get some matsui chips

I thought my contact said it came and went but I’ll confirm next time I stop in. Want to say they only got three bottles.I've been hearing that about the Gold for a while but still nothing to my knowledge. Also, it is supposed to be available for around where the secondary price is. We gotta wait and see though.
You're gonna love the ECBP B520. Best batch to date in my opinion.
