Flush
When I host I get my own buyin in hundreds and then will go get about 200 in quarters, 1s, 5s and 10s. I’m going to race off the extra quarters next time after seeing @TheRealTeddyKGB do it.
This. He could a dropped it on the ground at a gas station on the way home... But with only a few hundred and mostly $20's, that seems unlikely. My guess is he forgot buying in three times and thought he was only in the game for $1000.The loss is on him. As host I'm responsible for every cash in or cash out and I know that but I do the same, ask them to count it. They lose the right to dispute when they leave.
I “kill the chips” by placing the barrels on the bills.
Agreed. My point is, maybe he thought he was short $500 because he forgot about one of the buyins. That seems more likely than making a $500 counting error, twice, or losing/dropping/misplacing $500.I don’t care how much he bought in for, only his chip count at cash out matters. Chip count equals stack count, you’re all good. He had $1900 chips at cash out who gives a crap how much he bought in for.
We had a player take $300 out of his wallet, put the $300 in his pocket and left his wallet on the table pregame. He grabbed some food, came back to the table and couldn’t find his $300. He started to get really upset and even accusatory until he found the money in his pocket (which took way too long).
We each took turns kicking him in the nuts until the game started.
Many of us saying the same things, maybe without reading the other posts in the thread. We have kept this thread alive for 4 days and we haven't seen @JLK8 since 97 minutes after he started this thread.View attachment 1251728
Since becoming a regular poker player, I get a good laugh out of this song whenever I hear it.A lot of good advice here, but we can all agree
You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin'
When the dealin's done
Right?
hilarious. I want to see the video on YouTube. We had a player take $300 out of his wallet, put the $300 in his pocket and left his wallet on the table pregame. I went back to reread after your post. I must have glossed over that the first time too.I just reread the OP - any asshole that isn’t willing to wait while I cash someone out can go fuck himself. Especially for $1900, but really for any amount.
