You work in a data field, and facts are facts. How is this laughable? Maybe it would have been more accurate if I'd said, "I've never seen Jim say that he would ban members for flipping..." But I think we both know that's what I meant.
Surely if Jim said "I'm going to ban flippers" many times, then it should be easy to prove. So show me one post where he says this, and I'll admit I was wrong. Hell, show me a post where he says this, and I'll admit I was wrong and donate $50 to the charity of your choice.
I'm not going to play semantic games. As long as the post comes from TCR and the spirit of the post is "I am going to ban flippers from TCR sales" then you win. But it cannot be the stuff that I've already mentioned, where he talks about banning members for other reasons like collusion, shopping cart manipulation, or attempting to violate the rules of a TCR sale.
This is a freeroll for your favorite charity. Fifty bucks if you can put your money where your mouth is.
Otherwise, please stop spreading baseless rumors about a well-regarded PCF vendor.

I'm laughing because you always do this. In seemingly every thread, over and over and over. Every time I say something or make a claim about anything, or say I read x,y, or z, you come in with "prove it! Where's the link, or it didn't happen!" If I succumbed to your demands, it would be a full-time job. I don't care if you believe me or not. I don't care if you believe any of the numerous others here who also testified to the fact that he said he would ban flippers in the past. If you can't find it, that's not my problem. But running around calling us all liars isn't going to score you any points. Either keep searching, or give up. I don't care. But he said it and several of us remember it.
My recollection was that it was with respect to specific chips or in response to some angry mobs coming after people who got their hands on coveted racks from various sales in the past. Like if someone bought up all the T5k chips from a TCR sale or some chips that were in short supply but high demand and they tried to hold them hostage in order to flip them for a profit that he would ban them. This was back before he started doing the percentage breakdowns. It very well might have been more than 5 years ago, in which case it sounds like we don't have a record of those sales anymore. I don't think he ever said anything along the lines of, "if I see anyone selling chips for $1 that they bought from me for 59¢, I'm going to ban them!" He's not stupid. He knows where his business comes from and what allows him to sell through everything. He said it in reference to coveted chips and people buying those for the sole purpose of reselling them for a profit.

I love the Ben books!! I can always feel the purity of your passion for chips in them.
But just to be sure we’re on the same page, I only wrote my posts to point out that if chips are going for less than “market value,” someone is going to profit. It can either be TCR at $7.50 to $8.50, or others at 2.4x or 4x TCR prices.

I recall (900 years ago) he put limits on purchases and on orders per address to quell that activity, not a ban on flips. How would he even enforce a flip ban?

Well - it would take community help, but it would be something like selling over XX% within a certain period of time is considered flipping. All orders require a PCF account of a certain level, etc. It's more admin/hassle than it'd be worth, and obviously there are plenty of ways to get around it.
It'd be a feel good effort with little bite.
I have a special skill for remembering absolutely useless facts. And I definitely recall the threat of banning flippers.
Also don't care either way. But that's my recollection.

Jim @ TCR has always been more than fair and goes out of his way to help everyone he can and I 100% appreciate all of his efforts and do not care one bit about how much he profits off of his efforts to bring amazing chips to the community!
Fluppers gonna flip and I ain't innocent! Sure I try to sell at cost especially to friends... but when I am paying flippers prices for recent TCR sales, I'm not going to sell my extras or what I don't need at cost when others are not selling to me at cost!
Also fact! Some members absolutely get "presale" purchase rights... some of those people actually keep the chips but many sell behind the scenes and never post a single picture or mention publically that they own the chips and would never bring these facts up before the actual sale happens. Wanna find out who? Well simply post a wanted ad right after the sale offering 2 - 3 times what the chips just sold for and magically you will have PMs appear out of thin air... then you will know who! Sure it kind of sucks... but again they are Jim's chips to do with as he pleases... I think it would be awesome for him to "audit" these presale friends a year later and see who still has what with a picture with a date on it, so he could see who is making the big $$$ off of his generosity... but hey, the world ain't a perfect place!

One of my former neighbors worked at a us gov agency where you have to get “lifestyle polygraphs” periodically. One of the questions they ask is “whether you have ever sex with an animal”. He responded yes, getting a VERY curious look from the examiner. He then qualified “ well, my wife is technically a mammal”
He was special.
The best pet of those polys is they don’t care what you do they just don’t want employees to get black mailed. So as long as you tell them about your deviancy they don’t really care. At least that’s what I hear.

@Highli99 I was asked that exact question as well! Luckily for me... I passed and answered that one with a laugh and resounding "NO"... but those guys have zero sense of humor. The next question was just gross... as it was on the same subject but in refrence to my mother... yuck! Maybe they just threw that one in to get me to stop giggling about the beasteality question... but either way I was done laughing after the next one and very ready for the "test" to be over with!
Seriously though... could you imagine if you had to answer YES to that question... they will respond with "elaborate please"
