Tangiers and the Quest for a Tina Hybrid Faux Inlay (8 Viewers)

There will be extras, I'll work with Justin to likely figure out who/where to divvy to make sure we get out to those who are the most prolific!

That said too, I plan to document as much as I can to make a virtual "CMYK input vs output" guidance.

Just looking around.. nothing really valuable here until I get a good camera/images, but I'm seeing a lot of good potentials already.

Equals... (which I could likely tweak the inlay colors very slightly in reality to close gap even further):

I see promise if color/printing is even somewhat consistent run to run... deeply need to get these in hand now! ha

This stuff is crazy good. The potential to drive some awesome chips sets to be created is very exciting.
Cratty for President

His heart and dedication to the chip game is truly inspiring.

You're making this a better place for all!!

I see so many label/chip matches!!!!! Shaped inlays here we come!

Yeah these are simply amazing. I mean I bought myself a brand new chip set literally just a few weeks ago, and yet if these Tangiers chips come out even half as good as they look so far then there's no way I'll be able to resist them. I especially love the differently shaped inlay for each denom... I always wanted a set like that.

I would buy these in 39mm. I would buy these in 43mm. And I would buy these in web mold. I would buy these anyway they get produced.

I certainly don't want to speak for the man, but I am somewhat comfortable quoting him:

Yeah.. I seemed to have read that post, but somehow it did not really click in until you re-posted it for me. My apologies to the OP.

But, I am in for a set of these. Not a 1000, but I can help. I love "Casino", its my favorite mob movie.

@Cratty Do you have a rough ETA for when these will be ready for a group buy?
Nope! Ha

Need to get color samples in first (next month), then finalize color matching and initial inlays/spots (likely a week), send to Tina to make (possibly air ship samples) - 30-60 days but dealing with Chinese new year potentially too...

Then once received, possibly some tweaks, but if all things come to pass OK - earliest maybe December/Jan.

This is my favorite so far, my only request would be to change the Las Vegas, NV to black.

These chips are really, really nice!!!!

I agree about the bottom text of Las Vegas, Nev being in black. I think the red text worked well there in V2 of the chips from 08/31/2024 where it was:
Tangiers = red
Hotel And Casino = black
Denom = black
Las Vegas, Nev = red

But in V3 and V4 dated 09/03/2024 where the denom flipped to red (a change which I really like BTW), I think the best way to counter that is by flipping the Las Vegas, Nev to be black. Otherwise it ends up being just too much red text and the denom - which of course we want to really pop - kind of loses a bit of its luster. Just my $0.02! Nevertheless these are still some of the greatest looking chip renderings I've ever laid my eyes on. LOL

I rather it be Slow but Right rather than Quick but wrong.

No need to rush the process, take as long as you like to make it right.

Most of us have too many sets / chips anyway and can afford to wait

Maybe on some no mold you can do:

Bounty Chip: a picture of the brothers in their tightly whiteys in the ditch

Re-buy: a picture of Ace putting the ring on the finger of that cooze.

…tongue in cheek but it does fit the theme. lol.
