Following with interest.
I think I will have to buy a cash and a tourney set just so I have them all.V5
Would love some recommendations for edge spots & inlay shapes for 5k, 25k.. I also do plan to make a denom-less version when we get to group buy for those that don't want the cash set.
- 1000 Chip added (not 100% sold yet on colors/spots)
- $1 moved to buzz saw
- $25 moved to scallop
- Note: Played around w/ Las Vegas text colors... in the end like the balance of the red vs the black
Good point! Was actually thinking about that for the nickel - have a few thoughts now on 5k/25k and likely will repurpose on 25k.. will toy around tonight.Round is a shape, too! In fact, I'd suggest using round for your nickel and move the gear to the quarter so you don’t repeat shapes.
I've not seen an octagon yet. Or a dodecagon.
Yeah, that's where I draw the line. Lol.I would also switch your base colours between the quarter and the $1000.
I actually like the existing quarter colour.Yeah, that's where I draw the line. Lol.
Good idea and also yup agreed with no duplication of shapes tooRound is a shape, too! In fact, I'd suggest using round for your nickel and move the gear to the quarter so you don’t repeat shapes.

Yeah, I can show a mockup when I'm back later with the black. It ends up just coming off too bold in my view. I tried grey instead, but then just feels too busy. Red worked best in my opinion, but know if I polled I'd likely get a split vote. HaLas Vegas NV needs to be black but seems to be the hill your dying on ;-)
5 cent round would be terrific
Great job @Cratty
Yeah, that's where I draw the line. Lol.
Edit: to be clear - think it's a good suggestion, I may test it, but just really like the orange quarter. Ha
Very good point. May be something I have to take a leap on and get the initial samples in hand and change course later if needed after checking lighting conditions/etc.Just so you know where I'm coming from, I am always wary of using red $5 with any fracs that are in the red-related spectrum (even pink/orange). Differing contrasting spot colour and pattern helps. Using a deep red colour with a lighter orange would slow help. We expect them to be in play together constantly.
That’s a baller of a chip right thereYeah, agree on the inlay with the frac. Likely will change out.
The $1 I tried to make it somewhat of an homage to the vintage Stardust $1 of the time (which is also the only chip I believe that has the 00), but may change up or make an alt.

If we're going a custom mold, likely only enough support to get just one size mold. Was thinking about doing custom plaques for specialty buttons.@Cratty Are you gunna make a bounty chip with these? If these are 39mm with the tangiers maybe a 43mm web bounty?
It’s a beautiful chip. I’d like to see it as the $5k.Loving the new chip additions!!
Cratty you're a mind reader. That white chip! Saw a CPC set recently with one similar to that w different spots all around. You're so money
I may try rounding the saw some which might help, also open to other shapes, just not a circle. It’s a beautiful chip. I’d like to see it as the $5k.
Also round $1. Saw inlay is very busy.
Yeah, hear you on the pink duplication. I somewhat assumed that a set spanning from 5c to 5k would be pretty rare, with most cash sets also starting at 25c. But I'll play with a grey too. May also be good to have one in general for some of the other denoms that pop up (e.g. those 50c crazies) anyway.Rather than duplicating pink, either the 5c or $5000 chip should be gray. And the white chip is a much better choice for $25k than brown imo.
Was a throwback to the Stardust $1 from the time period, but could be convinced away from it if it looks too out of place. I personally like it, but could change it.Looks great, def going to get in this group buy especially if we can get it on a custom mold.
Just curious if there was a reason the $1 chip was listed as $1.00 while the others aren’t.
Makes sense, do the others in the starburst set follow this pattern? I’d prefer them to be consistent one way or the other, but def defer to the pro creator cratty on this one.Was a throwback to the Stardust $1 from the time period, but could be convinced away from it if it looks too out of place. No, just the 1 as far as I'm aware.Makes sense, do the others in the starburst set follow this pattern? I’d prefer them to be consistent one way or the other, but def defer to the pro creator cratty on this one.
Let's try V7.. feels a lot closer.

- 5c: Changed to Grey, alternate inlay shape
- $1: Changed inlay shape to star
- $1000: Changed inlay shape to pointed star, slightly darkened & boosted yellow contrast
- $25k: Changed colors to dark blue, brown, red (like this, but not completely sold yet)
