THIS is a TRK chip (3 Viewers)

If I cite a passage from that someone posted on PCF that was originally in a published book I can’t just say I quoted PCF if I use it later. I have to quote the original source.
Why, when I read the above, did I think of this.....

First you need permission to use the image.
So someone can take a picture of my picture of my chips and submit it you and now you own that picture that was my picture of my chips and if I post a picture of my chips anywhere else even though I initially took the picture and own it, I have to post “Image courtesy of the ChipGuide”?

If that’s accurate, you’re basically a digital ghoul.

Also, if that’s true, I own your avatar now after I cropped it and posted it here. I respectfully ask that you take down your avatar or put in the avatar picture “Courtesy of Bergs” . I own your avatar now. Technically, I own your digital soul.

@bergs I now own your name. I demand money and chips.
Hmmmm….

Maybe give me a wide berth and back away slowly?

Lest you forget, I killed Gematria on this site. Killed it forever. With just the sheer power and force of my will. Smitten with the unbridled fury of God’s own thunder. And lime juice. Fresh lime juice.

You are a literal walking "wide berth"

with respect, as I appreciate your site, I've donated pics, had you note I was the donator , then you removed me as the donator.
You could have been removed as the contributor if we replaced your images with better ones. We had a policy change several years ago and now we retain the original contributor as well as the new contributor. I can fix that for you if you let me know which images your contributed.

Am I the only person who is tilted that the "chip" isnt centred. Its all kinds of triggering to my OCDs. Given all their experience cropping images they could have done a better job on that one.
-oh yeah. @ChipGuide. Did I do that correctly? :cool

Side note. I think everyone should starting tagging @ChipGuide when images are used. Notifications will blow up. Incoming case of becareful what you wish for because you might just get it.

Also @ChipGuide if youre after donations or want to start offering people a voluntary supporting membership for the chip guide just ask. Most members here a big fans and would happily help support the site especially if it means their contribution will help update some of its features to bring it into the 21st century.

On a serious note, I couldn't have said it any better than what @AlbinoDragon has already stated.

FWIW, PCF isnt an enemy, if anything its the US fucking A of Allies when it comes to fighting to preserve casino history. Join forces so to speak. Learn from each other and help each other to keep chipping alive!
I do not view that PCF is the enemy, hardly. I think it is the other way around that some PCF members view the ChipGuide as the enemy. I am not here for donations, either. The reason that we ask to cite the ChipGuide as a source of the images is that it gives the ChipGuide increased exposure. We let you use our images, for non-commercial purposes, saving you the time of scanning and edittng the image chip yourself. In return we ask to mention where you got the image from to give us some exposure. Isn't that a fair deal?
