What chip do you not get? (1 Viewer)

Can't get into:
Chips with edge spots in 3's. I can do 2, 4, 6, 8, but not three.
Most green chips just aren't my thing. I struggle with them every time.
Solids and hotstamps are not a big thing for me either.
Most ceramics. I just don't feel a darn thing for 99% of them.
Oak Trees and Aztards
PCA primaries (secondaries are amazing)

Ok, now this is going to get ugly:
Mapes - do less than nothing for me. I do not like them. Sorry. I know.
The new Bellagio, but mostly because I love the old ones so much.
Cali colors. I like the standard colors if I have to choose.
Triple spots. Like CPC 3T316 pattern. Paulsons variations are usually less than exciting for me. There are exceptions though.
The 2004 WSOP chips (the ones currently in use for deepstacks). History in my hands, and I hate them.
Most Paulson home market designs, with the clear exception of Le Noir
Secondary Grand Vics. Had a full set and hated the colors so much I sold them.
And finally, Fracs and snappers. I just do not get it.
Ok, now you know.

It seems almost universal that people who like hot stamps, start off not liking them. I guess it something that grows on you.

As for the OP, most of the ones I really don't like that others rave about are customs. So I think I'll just keep those opinions to myself. But anything with a giant inlay is bad voodoo in my opinion. They cover too much of the chip, especially bothersome on chips with edge spots. The more chip, the better. Maybe that's why I like hot stamps.
I know this held true for me. When I started I thought hot stamps were just dull and loved complex edge spots. Now I can't wait for my solid hot stamped set.

They seem to be very durable. Although every bud Jones chip I've played with at the casino always wants to stick together like they are suctioned to each other. Idk maybe it's a combo of the chip type plus dirt and grime on them...

I remember playing with Paulsons so dirty that some needed to be pried apart. Every so often somebody would accidentally raise when they wanted to call. Yuck!!!

Did that last Saturday nite. Yuck, indeed.

I'm not a big fan of the TRK feel, judging from my hot stamp solids. I'd probably put some china clays above them.

I love solids. I always have, even from the very beginning. I can usually find something about almost any chip that I like. I mean hell, its a poker chip :)

What I'm not a huge fan of is the extremely busy chips with a ton of colors and edge spots. Kind of makes my head a little dizzy.

Chips I personally don't get:
-Olivia's (inlay bugs me too much to enjoy the actual chip colors/spots)
-CIC chips

Those Bourbons and Aztar hundos are among my all time favorite chips so what do I know :p.

Take me off the list.

As far as looks go I never really got into the Paulson Dunes set on the house mold. Had a mint set of 300 years ago. Got rid of them in less than a month. The $25 is one of my all time least favorite chips.

ban hammer!!!!!

@Psypher1000 Armory set is one of my all time favorites :)

Idunno...I kinda agree with him - I *much* prefer to buy whole pies instead of 1/4's or 1/2's. Cheaper by the slice that way. But that's irrelevant, really...the subject at hand is chips, not pies. I think he just got confused there for a moment.

We agree on the CIC's for sure! I won't own any of them.

Crazy talk! You all must be posting while drunk or high. I love them all, God help me, but I do love them all.

We know this must be true because I have 15 playable sets waiting patiently for their turn to get on the felt and I am waiting to pick up two more sets if the opportunity presents itself.

One of the un-almost here. I started off liking them, and now have no use for them, except as fracs.

To exacerbate that heresy, I also like giant inlays, like the Bahamia millenniums and hundos, Ocean's Elevens, Outpost $20 giants, PNY $1 and $25s, Riverboat V2s, FCCs, St. Jo Frontier $5s, Mesquite large star $25s (though I'm not sure exactly how they're classified -- sort of in-betweeners). Actually, that a pretty sweet giant inlay mixed set right there!

I like colorful ceramics and Bud Jones CICs a lot, but I don't care much for TRKs except for Mapes $5s, though I do have one set on the way, so we'll see if I'm converted overnight.

Plus I have zero use for chips that don't have their locations printed on them, like Empresses. And no use for any Terribles, or chips bearing skulls, zombies (nothing personal there, Mr. Z!), Donald T. Rump, etc. No World TH&C 500 and 1k, no NPS half-moons, which is why I have a hybrid set of those two home Paulsons: World 1-100, NPS 500 and 1K.

Having strict personal rules like these is how I limit the number of chips in the house.

Jetons, I don't get Jetons. They look like cheap plastic interlocking chips to me. I am also not too big a fan of the 312 spot on a cpc/asm chip, too much opportunity for color overlap and dirty stacks.

I dont like mint condition chips...I dont like them 5 years casino used....but i do like them broken in...but still able to stand. I had a set of mint chips and my players complained that it was cutting their fingers hahhahah...but i totally understood.

If you got slightly used chips, I would probably trade you mint chips for them

I like how they handle but agree most sets are lacking in the looks department.

My favorite exception:
