Classic Poker Chips - Last Call Mockups (1 Viewer)

Everyone is posting about getting sets made before CPC closes their doors so much that it appears Jim and CPC will have enough "final" orders to last them into 2027.
Ikr?? Someone mentioned earlier that they had put their order in on Ewing and now just needed to "wait 6 months"

Great to have you back! Haven't seen you in a while.
Thanks! Yeah, been a WHILE. I've been contemplating a second cash set for the last 3-4 years and then when I saw David's email, I decided to pull the trigger. Just sent my payment the other day ... now just need to get the design finalized. I tried reaching out to J5 a few times since he did my first set but never heard back. I reached out to timinater a few weeks ago to see if he can do it. I'm also updating my $2 chip from my first set ... same edge spot and inlay shape ... changing the base to DG Tiger and the edge spots to Peacock and DG Green.

I really need CPC to get these chips into production so I can't play with the colors anymore. I can't help myself making little changes I like better. Current version below, T500/T1000 have changed.

Here is a lesson for everyone... I made another change to my inlays after the ones above were already manufactured, so that was an additional $500 but I like the difference enough to pay it. Here is the final version of my set on order...

Love the 5. Arc yellow + white is such a nice spot color combo.

What “Level” could CPC consider a set like this (or the various CPC Aria Tribute sets that are out there)? Level 3? Level 5? Looking to place a COC order before the deadline, was wondering what the pricing per chip for a design level similar to this would cost.

Thanks greatly!

These are A-crest mold and all have 3D14 edge spots with custom inlay so they are a level 3 @ $2.85/chip.

Thanks Eriks Awesome news on both fronts. Sorry that I missed the announcement on that - so exciting!

Thanks - much appreciated! I was afraid you’d say it was a Level 5, so certainly glad to hear that! $2.85/chip is manageable. Thanks so much!

So close to pulling the trigger and ordering this custom set. Only thing I've been contemplating is the mold. Ewing I feel is unique but it wouldn't replicate the look of RHC chips. FDL on the other hand looks very close to the chips I've known since I've started playing at the Las Vegas Casinos. I'll let the decision stew for a bit longer before putting in the order.

The different size numbers gets me a little

The alternative to not having different sizes looked much worse on my first few drafts. The numbers were looking like I designed them for ants. I ended up just measuring the space between the left and right margins of the numbers and kept that as a constant between them. Also paired up the size of the 1&5 100&500 and 1000&5000. The symmetry in the spaces between helps soothe the eyes.

If you are going to attempt anything resembling color matching, ignore the colors from the designer and go with these:

https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/cpc-colour-code-matching-list.52094/#post-983898

I've used them a couple times now and they are insanely close, especially in a case like the background for the picks here where the color doesn't "touch" the color of the chip.

The only cases that don't work well are dayglo colors (printers can't replicate those), but I don't see any here where it would be a problem.

Yep, I used those colors to setup the CMYK values of the raw files. The preview image is just the result of those colors being translated back to RGB. This community has been so much help with all the knowledge it provides.

After handling a few more loose RHC chips in my hand I think the FDL mold is winning the race. Everything points to that mold being very similar to RHC plus I like how the mold isn't so busy compared to the EWING mold.

Aww man wish I knew about that when designing my inlays. Maybe next time lol
