Controversial Chip & Poker Opinions (9 Viewers)

I’d love to be involved if those will help get the feel of the best TRKs. I have some rugged plastic barrel protectors I could add.
I've got a few spare chip tubes that would work perfectly. Keep them nice, tight and protected during shipping and then we would know exactly what chips they are when they're going around.

I think this is a bad idea. The world does NOT need more TRK lovers. You can't beat Paulsons, right?
Melissa, only the chosen ones will choose TRK ;)
You guys really are a cult

HSI is better than both JD and IG?

It's cool, I like em alot. I feel like as a set they don't have a absolutely horrendous chip, but also no out of this world star studded chip.

The $25 is my fav and dope, but not carry the set good for me. $5 is cool too.

This actually feels like a set I would make. Like, oooo look at me Barrie can use bright colors too! But.....I just don't have the maturity or execution of say a Jeep type set. The colors between the 5 and 25 are all great, but looks like me or a kindergartner picked em simply to be bright.

Givign them real thought thought though and looking closer, wtf is wrong with the inlays? They are faux shaped inlays, but the faux shape is one color, the background of that on the inlay is another color, and the chip is a 3rd color? And then the 1 is missized?

Again, I like them alot. I'd consider above JD. But wtf happened to these. The HSIs are as though there was a real HSI casino, and we went to TINA to recreate them and she gave us these.

But they're great.

I’m a new chipper and the IG’s are the first set I came across that caught my eye and are hands down the best bang for the buck out there for Paulsons. The entire set flows together nicely through the denominations and are very gorgeous in person. The $5’s are the workhorse chip and probably my favorite chip in a normal stakes game (I love the $1,000 and $25,000 chips even more but will never get them into play). The $25 chip is much better in person than in pictures and has grown on me quite a bit. I like the primary more than the secondary now that I’ve had time with them.

There is a lot to be said for minty chips (I had a sample set of Jumers secondary’s and almost talked myself into pulling the trigger on them just because of their condition but couldn’t get past the piss and shit colored $1’s).

Paris $2s are great!

Idk if that’s controversial, but it is most definitely a very unpopular opinion.

I just bought a full limit set of them, fun to get mint, live, sparkly silver/pink chips on the table.

Apparently I am one of very few, as they don’t even sell at face value here.

I’m with you on the Paris $2s - if I was in the position to be hosting a limit game that size, I’d go for them too!

Listing murdered chips as the original style of chip is just wrong. If it’s been murdered it is no longer the original chip.
Yes and no. I will often see murdered and relabeled chips and ask what they were originally. It's still part of their identity. Obviously seller needs to state in the listing that they are murdered or relabeled. But perfectly okay to state what set they came from originally.

By your same logic, if a chip has been murdered and relabeled to go with a different set, has it now become a chip from that new set? I don't think so.
