Me too man! Have always washed both ways!I always get a kick of people that insist on washing after using the bath room. My hands were filthy, my junk? Pristine! I wash before I pee.
Truth bombs. What does every single person touch in the gym, but never gets disinfected? The spray bottle of disinfectant! Spreading the disease.
Are you peeing on your hands?Urine is sterile and I never do #2 in a public restroom.
Not on purpose, but you did see my wall of bourbon? Are you peeing on your hands?
It's pretty selfish to be hosting/playing poker right now. Just because you're not worried about your health is you contract the virus doesn't mean you shouldn't be worried about contracting it and passing it on to others. There are without question, loved ones in all of our social and family networks who are at a very serious risk of death in catching this virus. Please think about them and not yourselves. 20% of those infected require hospitalization. Somehow, people keep overlooking this fact.
I am concerned about my health and that of my loved ones, particularly the most vulnerable. But the the social distancing we are being asked to practice is designed to slow down the spread of the disease, not contain it. The goal is to slow the spread enough to avoid overwhelming the health care system. How many people should we come into contact with and under what circumstances ... there is no clear answer. The health care professionals that I have spoken with have recognized that, and that we are not at the point yet where everyone should lock themselves inside and not interact with anyone unless absolutely necessary. In fact, there are serious mental health implications to such isolation. Maintaining some sense of normalcy by allowing kids to see their friends and small groups of adults to interact has a positive benefit, not just the negative result of potentially spreading the disease. Not sure what the rest of us can say to convince some of you that holding home games right now is not wise. Simply telling everyone to wash their hands and not come if they have symptoms is not foolproof in such close quarters.
Speaking of slippery slopes, didn't the last Corona thread end up in the politics forum? Be careful!let’s not make this like the nra “slippery slope” argument
Seems like there's a misconception on what social distancing means. It doesn't mean self quarantine, it's more along the lines of not hanging out closely with multiple people. I'm still going to go out and do stuff, I'm just not going to go to sit in bars/restaurants/or have a bunch of friends over.I am concerned about my health and that of my loved ones, particularly the most vulnerable. I think common sense goes a long way. We should be taking this very seriously. But I’m not ready to go into the bunker with my family for the next two months.
I’ve read that article and it’s helpful. But even the public health experts cited in the article aren’t completely aligned on the question of whether you should host small gatherings.Seems like there's a misconception on what social distancing means. Anyway, here's probably a pretty good article about the do's/don'ts of social distancing.
Yeah, I cited that article specifically because it had a couple of different opinions.I’ve read that article and it’s helpful. But even the public health experts cited in the article aren’t completely aligned on the question of whether you should host small gatherings.
And, for what it’s worth, I wasn’t trying to suggest that social distancing equals complete isolation or quarantine.
Where are you in PA?
Damn, I should have saved up instead of going at home before the game!I wrestled with this decision up until going ahead and running my game last night, despite all the hysteria. I let the players have at the paper towel. We only live once, let em have napkins. Toilet paper was happily provided...went all out. Charmin ultra
Nice. I'm starting a bathroom job up there in a few weeks. I'm in WC and host a tournament once a month. Any interest?Chester Springs, PA

I work for one of the Alterra mountains (IKON pass). They've tried to put in social distancing measures (doesn't really work in the cafeterias/bars) and have no current plans to close as of yet, but my guess is they'll be closed in a week or two at most.I just got a notification from my mountain that Vail is closing all it’s resorts tomorrow through next Sunday and will let us know the plan for the rest of the season after that. Stevens has a hard close date of April 19th this year (Forrest service land rules) and I’m not holding out much hope for the rest of the season. I feel like they are just going to call it.
Last night me and my buddies were able to Ride For Jake in about 6” of new snow on a ghost town of a mountain and it was f’ing glorious.... very sad the bluebird spring days are looking like they are not happening this year but it is what it is.
Leaving in an hour to get up there and shut it down tonight. Lifts stop loading at 10:00pm and I hope to plant my ass on the last chair up at 9:59pm.
