Oh man I wasn't listening this morning (EITM is kind of hit or miss for me).

My opinion, which I'm sure you all care very deeply for since I'm a man who has played at a very, very high level (3/6 limit is very high isn't it?), stupid as I am I wouldn't have made that call (if in my right mind). Probably.

With that said, she did in fact have him beat.

I dunno, there's a reason I don't play at astronaut stakes. It is very fun to read the takes from the baller baize warriors here.
I haven't listened to EITM in years, as I'm more of a 98 Rock guy ... well... SiriusXM guy now.

today is a 105.7 the fan day, because the Ravens lost. :-)

normally I would have spotify on, but my car is in the shop, and no bluetooth in the land yacht backup car.

I definitely call with J3 if I think he's bluffing with ace-high. Wait, I don't have a pair? But I win anyway? Flustered brain spew ensues.

Makes almost everything seem relatively harmless and logical, except playing at those stakes in the first place.

They talked about it super briefly on a podcast I listen to... They mentioned that Robbi's hand went below the table and then when they came above the table, she was missing a ring. So I went back to look at it. I checked this video and didn't see it. Does anyone else know info about a ring?

In reviewing that video, tho, I noticed that the hand before, Robbi held :js::3s:. I wonder if that factors at all in to her misread, thinking she has J3 in this hand...

Thoughts?

In one of the discussions here someone mentioned the ring was turned upside down for a bit, not gone.

I have tried to read most, I have not seen alot about the fact it was blind on blind and he could have any 2 cards. I would not put him on a ten and the rest were bricks.

There has been multiple discussions on this topic as she responded to another player who specifically asked her if she had a 3 and she said no
Obviously nobody really ever knows if someone is being honest at the table, but her response seemed almost automatic and I didn't read from her reaction that she was lying during that response. But im no polygraph.
Wait couldn't this all be solved with a polygraph? Lol @ConsensualPresidency

Unfortunately no, polygraphs have a high enough false positive rate (and to a lesser degree, false negatives too) where I wouldn’t ever feel confident in them absent a larger picture/other evidence.

They’re helpful in scenarios where false positives don’t have exceptionally damaging consequences.

Aw dang it!

I'm in the lean cheating camp. The only time she seems surprised is when the 9 comes out on the river, not when she flips her cards over and doesn't have the 3 she claims she thought she had. If cheating, I believe she expected a jack on the river for her hand to be good, so when it doesn't come and she realizes she's going to win with J high, that's where the surprise is. She doesn't appear flustered to me until after she makes the "we're on youtube comment" during the next hand when I think she realizes how insane the hand looks.

I don't think Garrett acted unreasonably at all given that he believes she's cheating. Which is very clear from his reaction after her call being very different from his reaction after she tables her hand. I also find it very hard to believe someone gets staked for one of the biggest games without being somewhat competitive or prepared for it. If she's a fish, why is she making perfect decisions and winning large amounts of money on the stream? I'm with Garrett, something is just off about the whole thing. Hopefully we get resolution and answers.

If cheating is found, my bet is on a compromised shuffler so the board runout is known and simplifies the operation to a simple good/no good signal to the player. The shuffler used for the stream looks like it's on a cart and not fixed to the table which provides more avenues for access.

If a jack came Garrett had a straight.

I tend to agree. If he demanded money back, or even if he suggested in off the cuff but took it when it was offered, that's a bad look.

But after that J4 hand and through the next hand, he just kinda sits there, dumbfounded and trying to process what had happened.

I know there is a delay between sessions played and sessions streamed, but does anyone know if Garrett has been back at Hustler?

Y’all never really made a horrible call and then went “fuuuuuuuck I gotta show this?” and then you’re good?

Maybe I’m just the worst player on PCF, but I can see exactly where she’d take that line, be unable to explain it having been caught up in the moment, and then be unable to explain it.

She shoulda just said “elll oh elll gamboool” and told Garrett to suck it.

I haven't been in court a whole lot *shrugs*
The best use case for polys is gatekeeping - if an applicant to a defense contractor or gov’t job gets clipped b/c of a false positive, it obviously sucks for that individual but the government’s/corporation’s interests aren’t hurt.

Knowing or finding out that you will have to take a poly will cause most ‘undesirables’ to self select out of the process before they sit down to take it.

BBOTB2 I got it in with @JoseRijo on the turn, we showed our hands, and I had exactly 2 outs. He asked if I wanted to run it twice, I said nah, I’m gonna smash this river.

And I did.

Nobody thought I was cheating.

Fuck Garrett Anderson with Rip’s boot spurs.

Regarding the “you keep letting me do this to you” comment she made to Garrett…

Imagine you’re at a meetup. Close your eyes. Matt B is your left. You get it in on the turn and he makes a 2 outer on both boards to win but doesn’t know what game you’re playing and almost mucks his hand (this has happened, more than once).

Now imagine him saying “you keep letting me do this to you”.

Now imagine where you bury his body after he cashes out.

Perfect comment. Sign me up for Team Robbi.

After watching the stream & previous stream Robbi have played in, She clearly played somewhat way more sticky and calling a lot more with rubbish hand preflop against Gman.

She played pretty standard against the rest of the players.

So she definitely was looking to make a highlight chip with Gman just like how Miki (The tattoo guy who also lie a lot) had done it with 35off and get famous for awhile

get famous for awhile
We may be underestimating the "fame" element. People are playing televised poker for other reasons besides just cashing a profit in chips that day. Motivations include building their brand and expanding their public profile etc. In that case Robbi is winning on multiple levels.

Increasing instagram/twitter followers can be monetized far beyond winning or losing 100k in a day.
