I am about to pull the trigger on a few racks of 1's here, just curious...can i put one of gears labels over this inlay?
I think the term "need" is used loosely, when it really implies - I want these chips because they look awesome and are affordable in this sale, and hopefully at some point in the future they will be worth 10 times what I paid for them.
I'm right your wrong.
The only issue is greed. I question how many of the people who "just needed one barrell" would ever get those chips into play in a cash game. I'd argue hard against those points all day long. A $500 chip is an integral part of a T5-base tournament set, and there are PLENTY of existing tourney sets made from casino cash sets that top out at $500. President Casino Admiral is just one of many that pops to mind immediately. For many T5 tourney sets, a barrel (or two, depending on size) of $500 chips is plenty. Needing larger denomination chips from the same casino to make a tournament set is simply not true, and implying that wanting or needing them reflects greed is pretty short-sighted, imo.since larger denoms were not available to make a tournament set, the only utilitarian purpose for the $500 chips is possibly for a relabel.

The point is if it wasn't the person who did separate invoices, they most likely would have all gone to the next person in line. I can't imagine that if they had not gone to only 2 people that there would have been plenty to go around for everyone.
Agreed, and this was the basis on how Jim structured his sale. However in a T5 structure, how many T500s does one need?
we should be happy when they post pics of those chips in play.
Ha. I dunno. They're pretty, but ridiculously rare chips from a tiny no-name casino might end up being more obscure than rare.As a general rule, are we allowed to get the pitchforks if they speak of relabelling the $500s?
Had I tried to participate, I would have tried to get a few barrels of the $500s, specifically for relabel. To each his own. The search continues.
Yeah you can only plan so much until the Paypal cart comes into play, next time you'll figure it out much easier This was only my second Jim-Sale and I felt far more comfortable this time around!
Tonkawa mayhem has been cancelled due to excessive complaining and are going to eBay. (n)
Am I correct in reading that people are cracking it because some added the high denoms first then added the lower denoms to balance out the requirements?
If so, what's the problem? Kudos to people for using their head. It's what I would have done. I just figured this was common practice.

And now the issue is that those of us that had skipped this sale in hopes of buying the secondary Native Lights are SOL now thanks to a couple of greedy individuals that intentionally violated the rules of the sale. Whether they posted their intentions prior to the start of the sale is irrelevant. The issue is that they added 500's and checked out. Then created a new transaction, got the chips that balanced the percentage requirements, then checked out again.
