I honestly don't know why a casino would ever use a RHC mold chip. The THC chip wear so much better and don't get flea bit.

I wonder if Paulson charges less for RHC over THC. Seems that the cost/process should be about the same. But maybe the dies on the THC are wearing out, seeing as they go back to the 60's. Maybe Paulson charges more to offset the cost of making new dies.

The RHC has been around since, what, the 90's? The only other advantage of RHC is larger graphics. Candidly, a chip that wears out sooner and requires re-orders is better for Paulson.

Larger area for image, and less expensive.

Neither of which compensate for the drawbacks of the mold design, imo. I'm sure GPI pushes the cheaper chip, which also has the hidden advantage (for GPI) of replacement orders being generated sooner.

I bet if you asked 100 casino execs in charge of ordering chips which the best Paulson mold to use is, about 75 of them would respond with "What the hell is a mold???" About 22 of the remaining 25 would respond "What, Paulson has different molds???"
