I stopped by my mega-liquor chain after work, similar story to yours. Wednesday is their delivery day. Nothing new. Still a Prisoner, a Goodwood, and a Kentucky Owl to be had if I feel like splurging. But I didn't.

Edit - also a regular Joseph Magnus too. I'd probably get a Cigar Blend if I saw it. At worst, I could sell it at cost to one of you fine folks here without much difficulty.
What is the price on Bardstown? Goodwood Walnut or Honey ale? I cant get these near me, but looking to try some of the collaborations

Taste/prefferences are personal, obviously, but I would try the MGP collaborations first. I tried almost all of them and the ones that are Dickel (the two above are, I believe) were not as good to me. The Laubade, Oloroso and Apple Brandy finishes are great.

Having said that, those ale finishes above are not bad at all!

Is the Oloroso on shelves still? I’d love to pay retail over secondary. I did splurge on a bottle of Laubade since that seems to get high marks from everyone.

I have no idea how hard these are to find?

Those are spotty, man. It depends on the state. Nothing in Michigan. I ended up buying some of those bottles above retail but they were not as expensive as they are now. The Oloroso might still be around. They were release with the Laubade, or even a month after. It is a RICH bourbon for sure. Not for a purist. Those are usually plentiful in KY, TN, IN and OH.

I didn't check price, but two stores in Brooklyn both received Bardstown bottles in their deliveries today. I'm guessing if my upstate places also got allocations, pricing will be better.

Picked up a couple these. Discovery Series #2.

Where do you find a whiskey charity auction going at 11:00 am on a thursday?
If you have to ask....

I've been wearing Old Navy "leisure" pants for 11 months now...I'm nothing if not a whisky charity case.

Seriously, tho, it wasn't today. I just finally received the bottle today.

I'll hold you to that!

Well, shit. The one time I read the T&C's.

OK, I've had enough of not being able to spend money on new chips and, being a lover of this thread, I've decided to splurge on a couple of nice bottles instead.

This is where I need your relatively last-minute help, please, PCF.

I really want to see what all of the fuss about Weller is, but that's no mean feat here in the UK; it's rare, meaning the prices are absolutely ridiculous...

Having done a bit of digging, I have tracked down a shop that has a couple of bottles of Weller left out in the back of the store, although they told me to ring back tomorrow so they could confirm the one or two bottles they had left (they were just about to close for the day when we spoke).

With that in mind - and on the proviso that the prices aren't eye-watering like above - which one should I go for?

That is to say, do you rather the 12, Antique 107 or Special Reserve?

Thanks in advance!

If you are buying one bottle, I would recommend the Antique 107.
