I only bought one bottle (3.5E):oops:in the SuperMarket 'cause I thought the wine might have died, especially after more than a decade (recolte 2010). Wrong. It was alive.
It's been utter fuckin delicious:love:

It seems that the Nemea vinyard (with the unmistakable Ay-Giorgitiko or Saint George's grape variety) is hard to beat.
Cheers:)

Rapsani is a terroir already well known, cultivating a brillant blend of Xinomavro and Krassato / Stavroto on the foothills of Mt Olympus, and my concern is the Chinese have discovered it also.:(
With billions of them wishing to drink it, we may end up paying for it locally 60E rather than 8E, currently.

Don't worry, if they don't find it sweet enough, they'll just add some Coca-Cola to it. The horror of the nouveaux-riches.

Cultivated Greeks (a small minority among their nation anyway) belong to an internationally growing class of nouveaux-pauvre :(

MM stands for Mavrotragano and Mandiliaria, both traditional red varieties from the volcanic soil of mighty Santorini

Red Velvet comes from Zitsa, Epirus, featuring two almost extinct local varieties, Vlahico (or Rustic) and Bek(i)ari (Bachelor's).

Nice starter before the steaks: Grilled mushrooms

True that wines aren’t whiskies…. However, some wines clearly are more built for cellaring than others. I don’t collect wine anymore. So I’m of the mind to drink now before either the wine or I start going south!
