Not a lot of fruit but incredibly smooth.
I don't often find a lot of fruit in general with Chianti Classico, especially with the majority being Sangiovese-derived.

Most definitely. The Okanagan wine region in my province makes some great rieslings. There is (was?) a small winery in Kelowna called St. Hubertus that had a great one. Probably more than 20 years since I tasted it and I still remember.

I only bought one bottle (3.5E) 
in the SuperMarket 'cause I thought the wine might have died, especially after more than a decade (recolte 2010). Wrong. It was alive.

It seems that the Nemea vinyard (with the unmistakable Ay-Giorgitiko or Saint George's grape variety) is hard to beat.

Rapsani is a terroir already well known, cultivating a brillant blend of Xinomavro and Krassato / Stavroto on the foothills of Mt Olympus, and my concern is the Chinese have discovered it also.

This one is on my "try" list. How was it?
We enjoyed it. Little spiciness, unfolded nicely. Iirc it was $10 or so. Enjoyed it with some rare filet and grilled red peppers and zucchini. Deelish!

True that wines aren’t whiskies…. However, some wines clearly are more built for cellaring than others. I don’t collect wine anymore. So I’m of the mind to drink now before either the wine or I start going south!
