Ace will be a junior in the fall. He got tapped for first line center for Monday's first summer league game.

And Deuce will be between the pipes. That may be a mixed blessing. The #1 goalie is trying out for NAHL teams in Minnesota. The #2 goalie is the catcher on the baseball team that just advanced in regionals. So Deuce has no back-up. He has the chance to shine. For his sake, I hope he doesn't shit the bed.

Still, making up 1/3rd of the starting lineup will make for a fun game to watch Monday night!

May sound a little corny, but now that all of my kids are out of the house, it makes me happy
just to see them again when then come and visit even if it's just to go out for dinner

We took the kids to the Metroparks on Saturday. On the drive there they asked if there was a playground and swings. We explained it’s not that kind of park. They got to play in the river and skip rocks. We even saw a bald eagle.

On the way back to the car my oldest said that was the best park she’s been to!

After 20 years, the fill valve has become corroded enough to restrict water flow, causing it to take too long to refill the tank. (So morning back-to-back uses causes a weak flush on the second use). Sure, taking off and cleaning the valve could be done, but a new Kohler fill valve was $15. And Deuce's labor is cheap.

Some woman somewhere is gonna get a husband that knows how to fix shit.
